Today the waves stole the show for me, stunning colours and the power that was on display was amazing to watch.
Thinking of my friends in the UK with all the wind and rain they’re getting today. This was during Tropical Storm Ophelia in late September. Contax IIIa, Silberra Color 100, ECN-2 development.
While hiking along the crest of the dune, I came to an opening in the dune grass. This allowed the sand to advance like waves.

When visiting the beach at Pawley's Island, catching a wave splashing is always one of the photographic goals. Not sure what about the splattering of the water that is so fascinating. Sure produces some interesting and abstract images.

We're moving out of this house so these great views will be behind us. This evening we had a great deal of thunder and a few flashes of cloud-to-cloud lightning. This one's waving us farewell.

I thought I'd share these two photos of the wild waves, taken each side of South Parade Pier, as I'd like my photostream to look nice and blue and summery!! Although it was fairly warm out of the wind, you can see the sea was very choppy!
