I was shooting waves at Puerto Rico, but I must say that this one took the cake for me. It's like three waves all together.

A wave in a Sardinian beach. The day hadn't been too "beachy", with the cloudy sky and a sudden storm that made us to take refuge in the bar. But then the sun appeared a little trhough the clouds and made the waves look like this. Couldn't resist.
Had fun getting out and seeing the gorgeous waves after the storm cleared last Fri. More rain on the way today...woo hoo!
20+ knot winds made KAP difficult at best, but the wind across Kua Bay was steady enough to fly a Flowform 8 and lift my BBKK rig. At times, though, the rig was at risk of catching surf spray.
Number two in a series of wave abstracts.
I couldn't get a lot of height because of the high wind speed and the low line angle on my only high wind kite, my Flowform 8. So I spent time playing with the waves.
Equipment Used:
Kite - Flowform 8 + 15' Fuzzy Tail
Line - #200 Dacron
Rig - R/C BBKK
Camera - Canon A650IS
Fire wave in valley of Fire State Park, Overton, Nevada near Las Vegas. It was 105 degrees and they warned you against hiking, but being from South Carolina I did not find it too bad - took plenty of water.
An old warehouse on the way to Moulton covered in sheets of vinyl paneling that've warped over the years. And the door is still padlocked… what's inside?
A fascinating collection of metal public art sculptures along the edge of Salmon Bay. This is actually two separate sculptures, but if you stand juuust so...

I played a little bit with exposure durations at this location to find the right setting. I like this one in particular because it's long enough that the "mini" falls look silky, and short enough that one can clearly discern the shape of the wave that's coming.
Bodyboarders at Wawamalu beach. The windward shore got some big waves from the passing hurricanes to the north of Oahu in September.
