A repeater pocket watch movement i have just finished referbishing. Almost all the chronograph levers and springs had rust on them and the brass needed a lot of work. It has taken me weeks to get it to this condition and working again.

I have no other information about the movement other than its a minute repeater with a push button mechanism. Also this is the first watch i have fully referbished every part on.

My dress watch - one for this week's challenge of 'timepieces'. I don't wear often, which explains why the time was wrong

While researching the scientific name for this bird I (that I always thought was a 'Yellow-Shafted Flicker') I read that the Flickers on the west coast are red on the flight feathers. This one is definitely yellow and are meant to only be on the east coast. I have a picture that clearly shows the underside of the wing and tail feathers are yellow.

Anyone have an explanation?

This Italian Navy Homage was originally provided to the Italian Navy Frogmen, starting around 1936. The watch was provided by Panerai but the case and manual wind movement was made by Rolex. This homage looks very close to the original, including blue outlined hands in a 47mm case, but done with a "window" display caseback to show off the beautiful movement. Handmade and hand stitched leather bands. Manual wind & Water Resistant to 30m Reg.$650 Disc.$495.

My golden retriever, Thor, was enjoying watching the Braves play one afternoon.

I confess, I do have something of a watch fetish.I love them. I tend to go for stainless steel or titanium with a dark face. I don't really like gold watches, too flashy for my tastes. Not into rubber or plastic watches either, I like a little heft. This is my daily wear watch, a Seiko Arctura Kinetic.
