She sometimes likes to climb in on top of the clothes before I start the wash... she especially loves to get in the warm dryer as soon as I open the dryer door to start folding, but I guess today she'd take whatever nook she can get.
I had to cover up the bleach tank input with the Bounce box because it is so disgusting, full of lint and nasties from the previous owner. I will clean it up before Mom and Dad come to town!
*note* -- Mom and Dad are gone and the bleach intake is still yuck... on my cleaning to-do list.

Took a walk this morning just before sunrise and snapped a photo of the nearby laundromat (well, it's a 15-minute walk away, really) through the glass door. Looks so empty and clean.
Tina found this old washing machine and salvaged it for the deck. So we put it to good use and planted a fern in it. This has been a good year for ferns, it's absolutely beautiful.

This ingenious contraption was cutting edge technology for 1925.
You loaded the Laundry into the Copper Tub and turned it on.
The Tub would then rotate and tumble the Clothes end over end inside.
After the Wash cycle, you'd open the Tub up and rotate the opening under the built in Wringer on top of the Machine where you'd wring out your Clothes and the excess Water would drain back into the Tub, ready for the next Load.
I laughed at the Washboard leaning up against the front of the Machine, ready to fill in when the Power goes out or this thing blew a Fuse... :O)

i still remember the time when i was little when our cat Tobias flew out of the front loader washing machine after it being on for a while, my Mum's screams are the most memorable part! she used up one of her many lives

All the the paddles have one by one broken inside my washing machine so we have had to buy a new one but quite honestly im glad to see the back of this one
