This is my washing machine and utility sink in my basement. The machine is 26 years old. We bought it at Sears when my 1st child was a year old to wash diapers. My husband, who is a fix-it person, has repaired it many times to keep it going. June 7, 2010.

Well, we finally got some sun and guess what, it's laundry day... The annoying thing when moving to a big city like Paris is that the space you get for your money is quite reduced and you have to make choices. So we do have a tiny washing machine, thank God, but no space for a dryer... Which means we have to go to the laudromat next door to dry our stuff, pfff... The worst part is when we encounter a drunkard who is wasted on the floor, it seems to be the meeting spot some days!! No need to say the whole room stinks when it's supposed to smell clean... Gross! Well, cannot wait to move a bit further and have our own house, green grass to frolic and big washer-dryer!! Still dreaming...
On rêve encore ...
As I was transferring the clothes from the washing machine to the tumble drier, I dropped them on the floor 😟
Happily, the floor wasn't dirty so I just bunged them in the drier 😜

"People, especially couples, who argue in front of others or involve others in their personal problems and crises, are said to be washing their dirty laundry in public; making public things that are best left private. (In American English, 'don't air your dirty laundry in public' is used.)"

Lucy jumped into the washing machine again. I happened to have my camera with me because I was taking photos of Cally, so I managed to grab one quick shot ... just before Lucy leapt out and ambushed an unsuspecting Dizzy. Never a dull moment these days!
