There's a group called Walk The Line. Every week there's some sort of a challenge that you have to face. This week's is "coming out of hiding". Now there are so many different meanings this can take. But somehow it's all about the women taking selfies without their makeup on. Not being a woman, I just don't get it. They see it every freaking morning in the mirror, and every night in the same mirror. What's there to be afraid of? The selfies that are posted are all great-looking, by the way, warts and all.
For example, this is me, about to get brainwashed. CNN is on the background. There's no makeup on my face, and it's not photoshopped (I mean the face itself, warts and all). The only thing that prevents it from walking the line is that it's so obviously isn't SOOC. Sigh...

Expired 35mm film, first put through the washing machine, then dried ( in a dark room) with hairdryer before shooting.The results are a bit more subtle than the roll I put through the dishwasher.

Last night finished with a bit of a sour note as the washing machine decided to pack up.
A quick bit of research revealed that the problem was most likely to be with the cushion drive coupling.
Unlike many washing machines, ours doesn't use a belt, instead having a direct drive through this rubber bush.
We should a piece of rubber, and two bits of plastic that look a bit like 13A electrical plugs that slot into it from either side. Here you can see an intact piece on the left and something not quite so intact on the right. :(
Blessedly, a local stockist on Country Road had the part! That means that we won't be without the machine over the Easter weekend.
The guy in the shop called our machine prehistoric! Cheeky bugger! It might be ten years old but it's never given even a tiny bit of trouble. That's probably why a washing machine engineer doesn't like it. ;)

Inside of a washing machine with pop up on camera flash, quite alot of messing around with this one, had to lean it on a sponge to get it in the right place.
