Laid out in 1790, Warren Square was laid out after the final departure of James Oglethorpe and after the American Revolution and was among the first extensions of the city.
The square was named for General Joseph Warren, a hero of the American Revolution and president of the Third Provincial Congress of Massachusetts, which existed prior to the revolution.
Newborough Warren ruined cottage, I wondered who they were and what life was like then, whatever they did they had a wonderful view, if they got the time to look.

Although a minor station, many long distance workings would call at Dawlish Warren on a summer Saturday.
50 041 "Bulwark" enters the down platform loop with 1V87, the 11:51 Leeds - Paignton towards the end of a long hot day spent entirely on the sea wall section between here and Teignmouth.
Next stop, the Mount Pleasant Inn on the top of the hill just to the left of this shot for a meal and a window seat overlooking the line and the sea
With the tide low the sea wall defences at Dawlish Warren can be clearly seen,with large rocks placed beneath Brunel's original wall. On the right can be seen the newer "lipped" wall that was built aroun 1993 to protect the leisure area and the village itself from the sea. The line towards Exeter St Davids and the River Exe can be seen winding their way northwards. 43172 and 43155 are heading north working 2U16 Penzance-Cardiff on Saturday 11th June 2022.
Warrens of Tenterden Volvo B10M-61 Berkhof Esprit MIB 927 is seen in Brighton on 17th September, 1992. It was new to the Kings Ferry as A587 RVW.
