Natural Grocers, in reorienting the store, all but removed the natural sunlight from the window wall. This was actually a good move as it is a massive west-facing wall that certainly added to the cooling costs of the building during the summer and sent a harsh glare in during the evening hours. F&E partially dealt with the wall by applying film to block out the lower portions and raising the shelves that were alongside it.

Just playing with the various quirks of the 45mm ts-e, I have decided that for the actual use that I would have for a tilt-shift the 45mm is too long, the 17mm would probably hit the nail on the head. Ahh the joy of being able to rent equipment.

Peafowl are two Asiatic species of flying birds in the genus Pavo of the pheasant family, Phasianidae, best known for the male's extravagant eye-spotted tail, which it displays as part of courtship.
The species are:
* Indian Peafowl, Pavo cristatus, a resident breeder in South Asia. The peacock is designated as the national bird of India and the provincial bird of Punjab.
* Green Peafowl, Pavo muticus. Breeds from Burma east to Java. The IUCN lists the Green Peafowl as vulnerable to extinction due to hunting and a reduction in extent and quality of habitat.

had a reason to call over to Prestwich today , in North Manchester , so while I were up there I called in at Heaton Park for a walk around .
I think the last time I were there must have been about 40 years ago .
I took the shots with my Sony a7Riv and used a manual focus lens that's also about 40 years old .
These two were taken with a Minolta 200MM MC Tele Rokkor-QF F/3.5 .
The lens performed better at closer shots than it did at distant ones .

The Park - The extensive 1,800 acres of wooded parkland, created in part by 'Capability' Brown, is a living landscape rich in plant, animal, and bird life. Some parts cultivated and grazed, yet much can be explored and enjoyed.
The Gardens - The gardens surrounding the house were created in the first half of the 19th century by the First Marquess of Bristol. Those in the formal Italian style to the south of the house feature the Gold and Silver Gardens, a Victorian Stumpery and the Temple Rose Garden. A raised terrace walk separates the south garden from the park.
Beyond the church (recently reopened) are the remnants of an 18th-century garden created by the First Earl. His summerhouse (circa.1703) and ornamental canal still survive. The kitchen garden, protected by high brick walls, which was until 2013 a vineyard, is now being reinstated to its original use as a kitchen garden, to provide vegetables etc for the restaurant. Part of the walled garden is used as an allotment and is tended by Ickworth Park Primary School, the children aided by parents and teachers grow vegetables to take back to school for lunches, or to sell to the restaurant in the west wing at Ickworth.
