Plic ploc sur l'onde

PVA glue is easier and cleaner to use than paint, and has the added bonus of taking longer to drip.

Shot once before but I wanted to get in much closer this time in order to reveal some detail.

Now that we have to wash everything we bring in from the shops, I noticed my wife had these in the sink, could not resist taking this shot.

La luz del atardecer, en las paredes de la torre del castillo, crea una atmósfera única y aporta el dramatismo adecuado al tipo de construcción.

This was my first time photographing a fireworks show so I was ecstatic when I looked over my pictures and saw that not only did get the fireworks in focus but also the entire DTLA cityscape without overexposing the signs on the skyscrapers.

Short S.25 Sandringham (Sunderland MR5) flying boat G-BJHS moored on the River Thames next to Tower Bridge in London. So you're walking along the streets of London, minding your own business, and what hoves into sight but the very last airworthy Short Sandringham, which was making a rare visit to London on stopover before flying over the pond to the Fantasy of Flight Air Museum in Florida, US. I had absolutely no idea it was going to be there, parked next to Tower Bridge! I just happened to be walking around the Old Smoke shortly before becoming an undergraduate at Kingston Polytechnic :)

The Short S.25 Sandringham was a British civilian flying boat produced during the Second World War by the demilitarised conversions of Short Sunderland military flying boats previously operated by the Royal Air Force. This was the very last example to fly.

The Short S.25 Sunderland was a British flying boat patrol bomber, developed and constructed by Short Brothers for the Royal Air Force (RAF). Developed in parallel with the civilian S.23 Empire flying boat, the flagship of Imperial Airways, the Sunderland was developed specifically to conform to the requirements of British Air Ministry Specification R.2/33 for a long-range patrol/reconnaissance flying boat to serve with the RAF.

During the post-war era, use of the Sunderland throughout Europe rapidly declined, while greater numbers remained in service in the Far East, where large developed runways were less prevalent. The RAF continued to use the Sunderland in a military capacity up to 1959, and the type also remained in service with the RNZAF up to 1967, when they were replaced by the land-based Lockheed P-3 Orion.

Several examples were preserved, including a single airworthy Sunderland which has been placed on display in Florida at Fantasy of Flight - this being G-BJHS, now registered N814ML. Fantasy of Flight is an aviation-related attraction in Polk City, Florida, United States that takes visitors back to the pioneering days of early flight, as well as the First and Second World Wars and beyond. The attraction opened in Nov 1995, and houses the world's largest private aircraft collection on display. [Wiki]

Paseo de la Castellana, Madrid.

I love the winter season. Especially the feel and sight of fresh snow turning everything white. The enduring branches and left-over leaves that take the weight of snow reminds me how nature prepares the trees during autumn season etc..I was fascinated by the man-made lamp posts. It also endured many seasons of winter ( lost one of it’s tips). If we could prepare and maintain all those that cannot endure the nature before-hand…
