Such a beautiful, green, lush spot. Photo shot between my toes while relaxing at this little piece of paradise called Loterie Farms in St. Martin. It is an amazing spot to visit with this very laid back section as well as being the starting point for a hike to the tallest peak on the island.
(128/365) I discovered the Welcome Chinese Takeaway & Restaurant hidden away up an alleyway just off the main street in Mallow. Dreadful rainy day with very poor light, only 7C I've never known it so cold during the day in May
Taken for my group www.flickr.com/groups/takeaways_and_chip_shops_of_the_world/ feel free to join & post photos of any Takeaways or Chip shops you might come across (exterior photos only please not the food or interior)
An Exeter Camera Club trip to Bude and Hartland areas on 25th July was a great day out. Weather was good and busy though because first day of the Summer hols! The rock formations at Hartland are phenomenal!
Just off the ferry - Unst, the ultimate destination for those with adventure in their soul. Unst is the most northerly inhabited island in the United Kingdom, and one of the most unique islands in Europe. Boasting scenic beauty, rich history, heritage and traditions alongside a mystical charisma, the island is far from a disappointment. It’s rugged landscape will spectacularly charm you and the golden, often empty, beaches leave you feeling in awe of such a wonderful space. National Nature Reserves provide you with some of Britains best wildlife opportunities along with lifetime memories and views. Getting here is an adventure, but so is being here. Sited on a 12 by 5 mile area and with a population of approx. 700, the land remains unspoilt and visitors are always welcomed by the locals.

full of colors, music and magic everywhere...
the soft wind caressing the first leaves on the trees,
the small flowers on the meadows and everywhere songs of birds and butterflies and bees flying over flowers...

- www.kevin-palmer.com - Just after crossing into South Dakota on Hwy 212, I turned around. It was the perfect opportunity to capture an incredible looking storm over the Wyoming welcome sign.
NHN 3823 returns on the train again after a couple month hiatus. Nice to see the 38-2 trio together again!
Overlooking the bustling 'Ladies Market' in Mongkok, Hong Kong.
Open from midday to midnight, the kilometre long market street is full of stalls selling everything from knockoff handbags, to shoes, paintings and you guessed it! Copy watches!
Mongkok is also regarded as one of the busiest city districts in the world.

SWP 4006 and 406 on a short freight train heading back to Scottdale, PA, past a very appropriately worded sign .
More Poppies, I know, but they're just so vibrant and beautiful in the early evening light. A perfect welcome to the Summer Solstice and the new season that came into being just a few minutes ago. :)
I can't really say "Welcome Back" since 611 has been back for awhile now. However...
On December 3, 1994, on cold misty night in Northern Georgia I said good-bye to N&W J-Class #611 as it stormed by in the darkness knocking down a green signal and then seemingly its whistle continued to echo against the mountains for miles and miles as it proceeded south. After years of chasing Southern/NS Steam all over the place with my brother, that it was all coming to an end was a bitter moment to be sure.
It would be 28 years, 10 months, and some odd days until I'd lay eyes on her in person again. A lot has changed since then - a lot of different trains, chases, trips, and adventures. But finally, I was able to make it to see her pulling a weekend of trips for the Virginia Scenic as the fall colors took hold of the Blue Ridge Mountains in western Virginia. Complete with Brother and now Nephew and Grand-Nephew at my side. WAY overdue!

The welcome swallow is a small passerine bird in the swallow family. It is a species native to Australia and nearby islands, and self-introduced into New Zealand in the middle of the twentieth century. It is very similar to the Pacific swallow with which it is often considered conspecific. Wikipedia
