Berlin's eastside gallery is the longest complete section of the old wall still remaining. It's also a huge stretch of excellent street art.

Building inscription (RIB 1844) from Holmhead recording work by the Civitas Dumnoniorum. It illustrates both the involvement of civilians in the construction (probably repair) of the Wall and re-use of Roman material in later buildings (this is supposedly the second modern building it has adorned).

These pictures were taken late January 2019 - Almost a perfect day to visit the wall as there were no crowds and the weather conditions were close to perfect.

The inside of a cabanes (or cahuttes) or even a grangette. Lightning can be very dangerous for four legged animals and building a hut that can hold a small drove of sheep or trip of goats would be an assurance policy that was made of stone. A space for keeping ill or pregnant animals away from the worst of the sun and having a roof for a chat with friend when winter was determined to be heard. With this design, either the roof goes down to the foundations or the foundations rise up to the apex.
