This photo has had a very tortuous journey to Flickr. I took it this afternoon with my iPhone but the "improved" Photos on the iMac will not load photos from my iPhone - either wirelessly as it used to or via the charger lead plugged into a USB port. So I photographed the iPhone screen with my Ricoh, loaded it to my hard drive and from there to Flickr. Then I cropped it using the Aviary software on Flickr – which I've never used before.

I have never seen a Pronghorn close to, so I took this photo of a Pronghorn "head" mounted on someone's wall. I don't know if it had been hunted or maybe it had died from another cause, but I never like seeing animal head "trophies". However, I saw my first Pronghorns in the wild a few weeks ago, but only from a distance, so this head did enable me to see what these animals really look like.
In April 2006, the Israeli Authorities confirmed the plan to encircle Al Walaja with the separation wall making it a Palestinian enclave inside Gush Etzion (settlement), connected to Beit Jala and Bethlehem through an underground tunnel and confiscating 1,600 du of Al Walaja land (notice the nice limestone on the settler's side of the separation wall...)

The Wazir Khan Mosque (Punjabi/Urdu: مسجد وزیر خان Masjid Wazīr Khān) in Lahore, Pakistan, is famous for its extensive faience tile work. It has been described as 'a mole on the cheek of Lahore'. It was built in seven years, starting around 1634–1635 AD, during the reign of the Mughal Emperor Shah Jehan. It was built by Hakim Shaikh Ilm-ud-din Ansari, a native of Chiniot, who rose to be the court physician to Shah Jahan and a governor of Lahore. He was commonly known as Wazir Khan, a popular title bestowed upon him (the word Wazir means 'minister' in Urdu and Persian). The mosque is inside the Inner City and is easiest accessed from Delhi Gate. The mosque contains some of the finest examples of Qashani tile work from the Mughal period.

A visit to China early this year included the Great Wall, this area just north of Beijing. I was amazed at the steepness of many of the stepped areas, and the length of the wall disappearing into the distance. We were fortunate to have decent weather as it was mid-winter then.

Tallinn has an unusually well preserved medieval city wall. Of the original 2.35 km a total of 1.85 km and 26 out of 46 towers still are preserved.

Shot on the outer wall of the Villa Capra "La Rotonda" outside of Vicenza, Italy. I love the detail in this shot, the texture of the stone wall to the veins in the leaf.
Some walls have greater significance than others.
