Location: CAP 6th Floor / Spring Studio - Studio Desks
Theme: Privacy and concentration concerns regardingg studio environment: each student longs for some sense of personal enclosure within an open minded environment.
Problem: Students need visual privacy to prevent distraction and aid increased concentration. Unfortunately, the studio environment also requires visual communication between neighbors.
Design Intervention: This project aims to provide a sense of visual enclosure when students are working, where their vision is generally at a downward angle, while also providing the opportunity for verbal and visual communication over a privacy wall around the studio desk.

Arquitectura neoclásica de Guayaquil, Escritores trascendentes de la perla y La sociedad guayaquileña a través de los árboles fueron algunos de los proyectos que 30 estudiantes de la Escuela de Diseño y Comunicación Visual, EDCOM, presentaron durante el Observatorio visual, conjunto de exposiciones que se llevaron a cabo entre el 23 y el 26 de agosto en el Museo NahÃm IsaÃas, la Iglesia San Francisco y la Casa del Artista Plástico en las Peñas.
La directora del Observatorio visual y profesora de la ESPOL, Andrea Pino, explicó que esta iniciativa nació en las aulas del campus Gustavo Galindo Velasco, durante las clases de la materia Proyecto de Diseño III, donde apareció la idea de aplicar todas las herramientas que los estudiantes han adquirido durante sus carreras en el desarrollo de escenarios que difundan la riqueza natural y patrimonial de Guayaquil.
