Sculpture of Time is a series of works developed from Akinori Goto's (JP) toki– series.. These works realize time, something that cannot be seen, by connecting two-dimensional movement to the third dimension through 3D printing. At first glance, it may look like just a cluster of white mesh, but the time that has been cut out can be reproduced by projecting light through the slits. By visualizing and actualizing time, not only do these works illustrate its relationship with movement, they also attempt to discover the beauty, characteristics and background connections of time born by going beyond dimensions.
Sculpture of time is displayed at the Ars Electronica Center Linz.

The Ars Electronica Futurelab made a high-profile guest appearance in Los Angeles. As part of the Walt Disney Concert Hall’s IN/SIGHT series, Esa Pekka Salonen conducted the L.A. Philharmonic Orchestra in a performance of Ravel’s “Mother Goose” that featured impressive visualizations designed by the Linz-based media art lab.

Ok, so here's my one non-photography entry for flickr. It's a piece of music I played, recorded and visualized with a program I wrote for music analysis. The dots represent notes in time, bigger dots are louder notes. The colors loosely represent what key that particular phrase was in. The lines at the bottom provide a bit more detail into the major scales in context at any particular moment.

As I am a Sony Alpha user, I would like to express my feeling for A7 Series camera that I like:
- Size and weight very light and easier to grab for my hand and more handy
- Silent shutter, BSI sensor 5 axis in-body stabilization and the possibility to use also with E-mount, A-mount and all brands.
- Visualize directly in viewfinder how the image will end up. I don’t have to verify it all the time, I am more confident in your settings, I save a lot of time, As I can see what your picture will exactly.
- Focus Peaking highlights the edges of the subject which is in focus, it's really useful for me.
- Whether I shoot macro, wildlife, concerts or whatever, it’s a very convenient means to get original angles and more creative pictures on the ground or above a crowd.
- Image Quality and Sensor Performances.
- The NFC and WiFi feature is to be able to use one’s smartphone as a smart remote and copy image. In fact, I don’t have to stand behind my camera to take the picture.
- The short distance between the sensor and the lens is one of mirrorless’ best advantages. It allows the use of whichever lens I want via an adapter. There are adapters for all existing brands.

The actual conversation is way more interesting... but it's a bit too long. I didn't read it all, so I wanted to see if a word cloud would help. I am not convinced it does.

Thank you volunteers you did it AGAIN on 5/10/14! Despite an absolutely dismal weather prediction 85 volunteers showed up to remove a huge amount of trash from Bear Creek and Charlesmont Park! Together we filled a 40 yard dumpster to capacity including 12 shopping carts, 6 couches, 4 bicycles, 6 tires, 2 vacuum cleaners, 2 mattresses, 2 wooden chairs, one wing-back chair one box spring, one entertainment system, and electric Barbie Guitar and much more! Thank you volunteers you rock! We will try to post more photos shortly but if you took any photos at our cleanup today please send them to us – Thank you!
We would like to send a special “Thank You!” out to all the dedicated volunteers from the U.S. Navy, Bear Creek Recreation Council, and Towson University!
We would also like to Thank Papa John’s of Dundalk for Donating Pizza and Bill Bateman’s Perry Hall for donating wings! Thank you Walmart, Mars and Giant for donating Gift Cards that helped us pay for many of our supplies! Also thank you to the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay and American Rivers for supplies as well!
We also wish to thank historian and author of “Terror on the Chesapeake” Christopher George and the very talented artist Tom Spicer for coming out to the event. Mr. George explained the historical significance of Bear Creek and Charlesmont Park during the Battle of North point, War of 1812 and Mr. Spicer’s incredible paintings helps us all the visualize incredible scenes from this important historical event.
Thanks as well to Hannah Grice for acting as our photographer and taking most of these wonderful photos of the event!
Google Earth’s mapping and visualization technologies are powerful tools for public interest purposes, from environmental justice to climate change, biocultural preservation, land conservation and creating a sustainable society. Rebecca Moore is a former software engineer turned public-interest advocate who founded Google Earth Outreach, and her efforts are dramatically leveraging the crucial work of NGOs, communities and indigenous peoples worldwide.”We were invited to train an Amazon Indian tribe in how to use Google Earth to save the rainforest, protect their culture and preserve their history. We went down to the Amazon and taught people who have never touched a computer before how to use Google Earth. It’s a way for them to show the world how they are restoring the rainforest and gain a sustainable income so that they don’t have a financial incentive to cut it down.”
