Kaitlyn Ramduth — change my mind.

A priest is seen blowing a conch at the start of the Ganga Aarti.

Varanasi is the oldest inhabited cities in India and home to more than 85 ghats (Ghats are steps leading into river Ganges)

Dashashwamedh ghat located close to the Vishwanath temple is the main and the most spectacular ghat. As the sun goes down, the priests set up the ghat to perform the incredible Ganga Aarti. A prayer offered to river Ganges and dedicated to God. This magnificent prayer is performed using multi tiered oil lamps, an idol of the goddess ganga, flowers, incense sticks, a conch shell and a brass lamp with snake head. The priests turn in all four directions and perform the prayers which is witnessed by the localities and traveller's.

"Those were the days my friends, we thought they'd never end...La la la la...” - Mary Hopkin

In the year 2003 with my friends we were riding mountain bikes on the Bistra mountain and we had marked and traced almost 70 km. of MB tracks. We went to the village of Galichnik that day, too. It was quiet when we had descent on the way back. In the same folder I found a short note that I was written that night after the journey: “Trough wonderful grass terrain you may be lucky to ride beside wild horses and you will see the sheep fold, be aware of the dogs!

As an off-road cyclist, it is your responsibility to ride safely and considerately!

“Anonymous” is a photography series that captures moments when faces are naturally out of sight, rather than deliberately hidden. By focusing on gestures, posture, and body language, the series invites viewers to connect with the subjects on a deeper level. It explores themes of curiosity, identity, and shared human experience, reminding us that despite different life chapters, we share universal stories. The lack of visible faces encourages viewers to project their own experiences onto the images, revealing that identity can be just as powerfully expressed through what remains unseen.

It's cool, romantic, melancholic, and gorgeously melodic. What is it about “Kind of Blue” that makes it not just pleasant but important? "When you go this way," he said, "you can go on forever.”

This captivating image offers a peek into the heart of San Francisco's Financial District (FiDi), a bustling hub of commerce and history. The sleek, modernist tower, adorned with a series of balconies that cast intriguing shadows, is a testament to the city's innovative spirit. Its clean lines and geometric patterns stand in stark contrast to the more ornate Victorian architecture that characterizes other parts of San Francisco.

As you delve deeper into the image, you'll notice the vibrant street life below, with pedestrians strolling along the sidewalks and cable cars clanging their way up the steep hills. The juxtaposition of the modern skyscraper with the historic tramways perfectly encapsulates San Francisco's unique blend of old and new.

This photo serves as a reminder that even in the midst of a bustling metropolis, there are still opportunities to find quiet moments of reflection and appreciate the architectural details that make this city so special. So, the next time you find yourself wandering through the FiDi, take a moment to look up and admire the stunning skyline that surrounds you.

Matija Plays the Music of Arsen.

Recorded just two weeks after his father's passing, the jazz pianist Matija Dedić is a moving tribute to Arsen Dedić, the renowned Croatian singer, songwriter, writer, translator and composer. Probably there is a plethora of artists today who are too easily compared to some of the most renowned artists of our times, songwriters like Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan, but none of them in reality could get close to the dizzying heights of the pantheon of these artistic Gods. Arsen was never someone who was merely compared with these people, quite the contrary, he was an equal member of this exclusive club. Not only was he a gifted lyricist and songwriter, but he was also classically trained musician, and had done numerous soundtracks and theatre music in his lifetime.

Arsen was born in Šibenik on 28th of July 1938.

Šibenik is the oldest native Croatian town on the shores of the sea. UNESCO World Heritage - The Cathedral of St. James, UNESCO World Heritage - Fortress St. Nicholas, first street lights in the world, fabulous Krka waterfalls, the birth town of legendary basketball player Dražen Petrović and An International Festival for Kids.

In June and July, Šibenik becomes a city of children, a city celebrating children’s imagination and creativity. This year it will be host to children of the world, for the 59th year in a row, and its streets will be taken over by children’s creations.

This color slide showing one of their creations.

This photo, a part of the street photography series, depicts an intimate yet silent exchange between mannequins, with a blurred human figure in the background. The scene toys with the concept of human interaction versus the artificiality of retail displays, capturing a moment where the inanimate seems to convey more emotion than the living. It's a commentary on the silent stories in bustling urban spaces and the unnoticed narratives that unfold around us every day.

When his brain only could see all this darkness, then he closes his eyes, and dream about another time, when people were allowed to be people, and most important of all – People were free. Two pedestrians walk past empty bus stops as the early sun casts long shadows across Edinburgh’s city street. A calm, atmospheric moment where light, architecture, and urban rhythm meet.

This striking image showcases One Embarcadero Center, a towering presence in San Francisco's Financial District. Its sleek, modernist design, with its distinctive stepped facade and angular lines, stands out amidst the city's eclectic mix of architectural styles. Completed in 1971, this skyscraper remains a symbol of San Francisco's post-war economic boom and its ambition to become a global financial powerhouse.

The photo captures the building's imposing height and its commanding position overlooking the Embarcadero waterfront. The interplay of light and shadow on the facade creates a dynamic and ever-changing visual spectacle, reflecting the vibrant energy of the city below.

One Embarcadero Center is more than just a landmark; it's an integral part of the San Francisco landscape, offering office space, retail shops, and restaurants to locals and visitors alike. Its presence has helped to revitalize the waterfront area, transforming it into a bustling hub of activity.

So, the next time you find yourself strolling along the Embarcadero, take a moment to admire this architectural gem and appreciate its contribution to the city's skyline.

Bauzá's composition "Tangá" was the first piece to blend jazz with clave, and is considered the first true Afro-Cuban jazz or Latin jazz tune.

“Why are these blues so damn sweet to me? Why are these blues so apolitical? Today I have these blues that have no source, that has no name, that has no point, that’s to damn articulate.”

From the project "I am what we are"

The project initiates and socializes with a large number of participants and audiences, and in the end, in itself, initiates a sequel and a new event next year.

"I am what we are" undoubtedly warms and touches hearts, original and simple, yet voluminous and complex enough, through 101 ordinary human stories it leads you to think, document, display and educate. In addition to its visual arts, the project is multidisciplinary with a final emphasis on environmental and humanitarian processes in society, cooperates with other entities and provides opportunities for many years of sustainable development, of course, takes care of gender representation and equality.

All 101 photos were taken with Fujifilm X-Pro2, Fujinon 90mm f1:2 and Acros black and white film simulation. No tripod, flash or extra light was used in any of the photos. All are made in authentic and working conditions of the people participating in this project.

Listening the “New Directions” from Jack DeJohnette in Europe, I heard about Kip Hanrahan and his famous “Coup de tête”. “And you can dance to delirious one-world rhythms provide that shape its conclusions on love, politics, “lifestyles” and it only follows that the record is not best appreciated in isolation. Enjoy by yourself, but by all means play for your neighbours.” - Bob Blumenthal

It was exactly like he said, nowadays in the pandemic, too.

Dancing was done slowly, to the quick, to the “Еве сонце пак.” As always.

The promenade in Oostende is a fascinating catwalk where all diverse styles and fashions can be seen from smart casual to beach wear, formal wear, ethnic styles and everything in between. I love the diversity.

captured in palma de mallorca’s old town, this image portrays a man standing thoughtfully on a quiet street. his casual attire, headphones, and cap suggest a blend of modern style against the backdrop of historic architecture. the black and white composition emphasizes the timeless nature of the scene, highlighting the contrast between the bustling surroundings and the man's serene pause. this photograph captures a moment of introspection amidst the lively urban landscape.

“One night begins quietly and than moves into a face-paced, fret-wrenching speed that hits you back down to gather your own thoughts to conclude the energy of the piece. Is indeed peaceful and melodic, but at the same time it is mysterious and dark, with an edge that commands reflection. Overall, one quiet night is just that: a serene, peaceful journey music in his own words that gives the audience a more detailed perspective of his location.” - Eddie Becton

“This Macedonian band (residing in Australia) has developed what may perhaps be THE most unique sound I have ever heard. Since their debut album, "Damjan's War" they have evolved even further, deeper into their bizarre apocalyptic, futuristic sound. The mix of traditional Macedonian instruments and Gorazd Capovski's menacing deep vocals (which I'd compare the timbre with Carl McKoy of Fields of the Nephilim) with pounding electronic beats and digital soundscapes melds an extremely foreboding

image of the future of the human race. Standout tracks? - well that's a tough one to decide! The cover of "Venus In Furs" strikes a chord of familiarity coupled with a new

darkwave twist. But I would certainly have to say that the passion and awe emitting from the Gregorian-chant-like vocals on tracks like "Until the Next War" and "Voden 2048" are enough to make one almost burst into tears out of fear for humanity. On the other hand, Kismet display an amazing devious quality on "Assassination", pushing the envelope with a techno beat backed by deep distorted vocals, still in that chant-like fashion! They are destined to be a favorite across all underground genre types. Imagine - techno meets ethnic chanting, meets gothic, meets industrial, meets

electro - Kismet has it all!”

captured in palma at plaça major, this image depicts a man transitioning from the sunny plaza into the shaded arcades. his shadow is sharply cast on the stone column, adding a dynamic element to the scene. the vibrant colors of the buildings and red umbrellas in the background contrast with the cool, shaded passageway. the man's movement captures a moment of transition and contrasts with the stillness of the surroundings, highlighting the interplay of light and shadow in this lively setting.

My nephew Viktor informed me this morning that Chick Corea died at the age of 79 few days ago. As jazz composer, keyboardist, bandleader, and occasional percussionist I considered him as one of the most important jazz-fusion musician of all time. In a “Silent Way” Corea formed “Circle” and avant-garde jazz that still is one of the kind. Trough “Return 2 Forever” and “Crystal Silence” and the ultimate question “What Game Shall We Play Today?” I came today as “Sometime ago - La Fiesta. O the music it was playing, o the firelight it was dancing all the children they were singing, all the people they were loving. Sometimes ago I had a dream, it was happy it was lasting it was free, And now in life O can’t you see how we can make that dream into reality.” RIP Corea and look around you my people, if you look then you will see how to love-life is paradise, all together, what game shall we play today?

My humble tribute to his work.

Local date: July 26, 1963

Local time: 05:17

Magnitude: 6.9 Richter scale

Depth: 6 kilometers

Epicenter: 42.10°N 21.40°E

Casualties: 1100 killed, 3000-4000 injured, 200000 left homeless, 75–80% of city destroyed

The name of ”Mexico Street” is tied to the earthquake in 1963. The settlement of Taftalidze in the city of Skopje was formed by donations from several countries, which then sent aid in response to great international solidarity, among which was the Government of Mexico, which built more houses on that street.

Fifty years after the Skopje earthquake, I was asked to make a design for a publication and a poster for the exhibition on that occasion. Thinking about simply describing the tragic event, I came up with the following idea, through a double exposure, to show the time when the earthquake occurred and the clock stopped, as well as a ruined room. The symbolism was obvious, and black and white reflected the severity of that catastrophe, as well as intriguing enough for everyone else unfamiliar with the event.

At the moment I don't have any idea how to express my sympathy and feelings regarding to this pandemic situation.

83. A friend of mine, very good producer and DJ, one night asked me what photo do I plan to put as cover on booklet for his four edition CD’s? I opened this one, and while I was explaining to him why, I noticed that he was crying. He said, great, you did not know but this is the door of my grandfather house in the village of Galichnik. Recent, he added, he passed away.
