We found each other in ugly places. The kind that strip you down and show you who’s real. Somewhere in all that darkness, I found my very much loved friend Purr.
We got close fast, close like we’d already done the hard parts somewhere else. It’s strange knowing our lives missed each other for so long. Maybe if they hadn’t, this wouldn’t be what it is. Some bonds need the damage first.
The truth always comes out. When it does, the light doesn’t soften anything, it clarifies it. Purr wasn’t a coincidence. She belongs here, in my life, in my family, like it was always written that way.
She’s solid, kind and feircly outspoken. And still the easiest person to bully with love.

A faithful dalmation never leaves his post guading an old summer house on the Praia de Faro.
The eastern end (este) of Praia de Faro is known for its charming yet weathered shanty-style buildings that line the beach, giving it a distinct, almost nostalgic character. These structures were originally built as holiday homes and fishing huts by locals in the mid-20th century, before strict building regulations were enforced. Constructed with minimal resources, many of these shacks were built by hand, using whatever materials were available, reflecting a time when the island was less accessible and far from the tourist crowds.
Over the years, these quirky, often colorful beach houses have become emblematic of the laid-back, bohemian vibe of Praia de Faro, contrasting sharply with the more polished resorts found elsewhere along the Algarve coast. However, because they were built without proper permits, many of these buildings face ongoing threats of demolition. The government has been intermittently enforcing coastal protection laws to restore the natural landscape, especially since Praia de Faro is part of the protected Ria Formosa Natural Park.
The community's attempts to preserve these shanty homes have turned into a tug-of-war between heritage and environmental protection, leaving the future of these unique structures uncertain. Despite their dilapidated appearance, these buildings add to the rustic charm of the area and remain a nostalgic reminder of a simpler time, beloved by locals and photographers alike.
"I'd say we are in the limelight. Literally. No red carpet to walk on but I hear all kinds of magazines and news stations have been fascinated about our humble crane life. Not to mention paparazzi with big or small cameras. Sometimes it annoys me, but I think my sister likes being in the center of attention. She likes to walk right in front of me when I just want to show off my nice-looking feathering I have grown."

The pathway, lined with sleek, modern tiles and reflective inlays, leads the viewer’s eye upward toward the horizon where silhouetted signs and structures stand against a dramatic, cloud-streaked sky. The low sun, veiled behind a textured ceiling of clouds, casts a soft, amber hue over the scene, bringing out subtle contrasts between the wooden deck and the smooth stone. This minimalist, almost abstract composition evokes calm and contemplation — a modern interpretation of coastal serenity, where architecture and nature converge in golden silence
captured in munich's city center, this photograph perfectly encapsulates a fleeting moment in the urban landscape. two pedestrians are seen mid-stride as they exit an underpass, the contrasting light and shadow creating a striking frame around them. the architectural lines and the simplicity of the scene draw attention to the subtle interactions and movements within the city. this black-and-white image highlights the elegance of everyday life and the beauty found in spontaneous, unplanned moments.
this serene sunset was captured in the beautiful bay of deià, nestled beneath the charming village. deià is, to me, perhaps the most beautiful place on mallorca. the tranquil waters and the vibrant hues of the setting sun create a mesmerizing scene, capturing the essence of this picturesque location.
he didn’t move much.
maybe he didn’t have to.
his hands were calm.
his eyes somewhere else.
i stood across the street.
pressed the shutter once.
then kept walking.
he walked with hands in his coat pockets, steady, unfazed by the wind. i watched him from the promenade in can pastilla, where chairs were still flipped and the season hadn’t started yet. he didn’t stop. didn’t hesitate. i framed him right between the rows of straw umbrellas, like a character from a film with no ending. the beach was waiting, and so was the sea.
he looks at books through glass. stories wait, patient and unopened. some lives are read. most are only passed by.

I can not live without my life! I can not live without my soul! I wish I were a girl again, half-savage and hardy, and free.

From the last village to another, we made only one stop in Struga. Traveling with the music of Nik Bärtsch and Ronin, from one ‘Modul’ to another, trough “Randori”, “Stoa” and “Awase” we felt like we are spreading our wings again. The music delivered to us fascinating black and white and colourful grey areas that are neither fast, slow, happy or somber. Images, thoughts, conversations, messages and downbeats were in constant shift from moving our heads forwards and backwards till taping our feet, making this pleasant journey to the village of Vevčani a wonderful and remembering one.
Getting as wise as simple it could be, the lights and shades transform rhythms in sophisticated execution of the length of time, as wise as simple turn, flip or slide, the shape still has the same size, area, angles and line lengths.
The statue of Maiden with the seagull is a symbol, not only of Opatija, but the entire Kvarner region. Elegantly standing on the reef beside Lungomare promenade in Opatija, it intrigues all passengers with her interesting story and identity which was unknown for decades.

portals nous. the sun cuts through the terrace of french coffee like a blade. he sits motionless, sunglasses on, beard trimmed, a stillness that feels intentional. the plant, just out of reach, throws a shadow that grows louder by the second. between them, a cup of coffee. itâs not about who he is. itâs about who gets seen.

Daylight began to forsake the red-room; it was past four o'clock, and the beclouded afternoon was tending to drear twilight. I heard the rain still beating continuously on the staircase window, and the wind howling in the grove behind the hall; I grew by degrees cold as a stone, and then my courage sank.

Quarantine comforting thoughts is a short story divided in several different ambiences during past three months. So, three months, three lakes, three photographs…
After very long winter, when we heard the news, we were first on the road to the village of Galichnik. There was over 8 meters of snow around us!
on old stones and under heavy glass, she stands composed—lipstick in one hand, time in the other. everything is worn but nothing is tired. she is the contrast: sharp lines against soft decay, ritual against rush.
A similar shot of mine I posted 4 weeks ago this time with reflections. Yes, winter is finally in Dubai

Normally i'm pretty found by the colors of the spring time, but recently i've enjoyed playing a bit with some shadow work and a bit heavier contrast.
Sometimes a moment says more than a thousand words.
A quiet look, a subtle movement, a reflection that reveals strength, elegance and presence at the same time.
This image was created in a calm and focused atmosphere — no rush, no noise, just trust, light and expression.
I love how the reflection adds another layer to the portrait and invites the viewer to take a second look.
Thank you for stopping by and for all your kind comments and support — it truly means a lot. 🙏✨

“Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry, but by demonstrating that all peoples cry, laugh, eat, worry, and die, it can introduce the idea that if we try and understand each other, we may even become friends.”

Morning light is the second one from the plot of a film that was never filmed, showing that our heroes have been forgotten.
There are some interesting people who do amazing things and somehow never get remembered for them. Sometimes they were simply doing the right thing at the wrong time. Sometimes the fact that they were never credited was purely a mistake, or there was no one around to see their achievement.
I had other idea for today, but April Fool’s Day made great joke in Skopje. It’s snowing from 6AM and still snowing, wow.
Our intuition is not always right, of course, but it’s not always wrong either. We didn’t know each other before the work. He came in Mavrovo by bus. We started introduce ourselves and from the start we both agreed that the best plan will be first to explore every scene before shooting. We didn’t had healthy living week but jazz and rakia connecting people and we certainly enjoyed making precise notes with details about everything that we had to be done. We actually made film script together, we made a story. Our intuition was right. Thanks my friend, thanks dear Alexandros Stamatiou. “Twelve Moons by Jan Garbarek Group is flawless classic and offers a rich bouquet for the ears with melodies and rhythms that go strait to the heart of anyone who loves to listen.”
The wedding was in 1928. Forced by the Great Depression he put everything in one case and went to the island of Madagascar. He took his wedding shoes, too. Next year he received the photo of his son. After losing any contact from him, supposing the worst happened but still in faith and in love with him, she received the telegram in 1934: “I’m fine but still broke. I’m on the island of Korčula. If you are able to forgive me, please come here or send me the money. With love, P.” There is nothing much left now from their old house, but his wedding shoes are still like new.
Dojran rudd on reed
Older reeds are cut slightly longer than the size of the rudd. It is important that they stay in the water for 24 hours to soften. The halved reeds are marinated with garlic, olive oil, lemon juice and parsley. The cleaned fish is salted, and the inside is filled with fried onions in olive oil, ground black pepper, ground red pepper, Dojran olive and parsley. Each fish is wrapped in the prepared reeds and goes to the embers.
