The problem with long leashes is that sometimes you can walk into the line separating the dog from its owner. That's exactly what happened to my friend Didier. It was all sorted in seconds with humour and apologies flowing both ways. I managed to grab this shot of the incident, just as he untangled himself.
Photo Essay: Hands & The Five Elements
The system of five phases was used for describing interactions and relationships between phenomena. It was employed as a device in many fields of early Chinese thought, including seemingly disparate fields such as geomancy or Feng shui, astrology, traditional Chinese medicine, music, military strategy and martial arts.

I spotted this solitary figure walking through the park, almost like a character from a storybook, blending seamlessly into the tranquil autumn scene.
Are they heading somewhere or simply wandering? The distance makes them anonymous, allowing the viewer to project their own story onto this fleeting moment—perhaps one of quiet reflection, peaceful solitude, or the simple joy of being surrounded by nature.

Recipe, sardine toasts with tomato and sweet onion.
Preparation
1. Toast the bread under a broiler (on both sides) or in the toaster.
2. While the toast is still warm, immediately rub it (aggressively!) with the cut side of the garlic clove, then spread toast generously with butter. Top butter with tomato slices and lightly salt them.
3. Top tomatoes with sardines and then onion slices. Drizzle with olive oil and lemon juice, then season with more salt and pepper. Garnish with basil if you like and serve immediately.

I saw these gentlemen with a dog on a path, making their way through a sea of beautifully lit reeds and grasses along the coast in Oostende.
Mildred received a notification that her needed to update her account password. After staring at the empty password field for a few minutes, she had it!
She typed his new password: potato.
The computer responded with an error message: ‘Sorry, your password must contain at least 8 letters.’
She typed again: boiled potato.
Again, she was met with an error. ‘Sorry, your password must contain at least 1 number.’
Mildred thought she was being clever and typed ‘1 boiled potato’ into the password field.
‘Sorry, password cannot contain spaces.’
Frustrated, Mildred typed ’50fingboiledpotatoes’.
Another error message. ‘Sorry, your password must contain capital letters.’
She tried again. ’50FINGboiledpotatoes.’
It was no good either. ‘Sorry, your password must not contain capital letters that are consecutive.’
Mildred thought someone must be pulling her leg. She was getting furious.
‘IwillThrow50fingBoiledPotatoesRightatYourScreen,IfYouDontGiveMeAccess she typed, thinking she’d outwitted the password requirements.
Another error message appeared. ‘Sorry, your password must not contain any punctuation.’
Mildred, was about to lose her mind. She typed frantically, slamming her fingers into the keyboard with each keystroke.
‘NowIamSeriouslyGettingAnnoyedIwillThrow50fingBoiledPotatoesRightatYourScreenIfYouDontGiveMeAccess.’
The computer started to process the request. Mildred started to relax her shoulders.
‘Sorry, you cannot change your password to a password you have already used with this account. Choose a new password: …’

From Wikipedia: "Yamanba (ヤマンバ, Yamanba?) sometimes written as "yamamba", is a fashion trend among young Japanese women. Starting with the bleached white hair and heavy tan of the ganguro girl, the yamanba adds white lipstick, white eye makeup, and sometimes brightly colored contacts, plastic clothing, and inappropriate accessories. Some yamanba wear stuffed animals as decorations, talk with a slurred speech, and enjoy shiny neon or dayglo colors."

Our dear friend, the artist Willem Vermandere, pauses for a quick portrait. This year at the age of 84 he announced he would finally stop performing music on stage.
Willem is a Belgian singer, Flemish folk music artist, writer, sculptor, composer, poet, musician and painter – a true renaisance man and a creative force. He is a legend in Belgium.
It's always good for the soul to spend time with Willem.
These days he is relaxing at home, still creating and enjoying a well earned rest.

I saw these ladies and they seemed to float in soft gentle light as they walked along chatting.
What if the secret to life is to float? To take each step as though gravity is just a suggestion, to carry our troubles lightly, like a shopping bag blowing in the wind with just a silk blouse in it. Perhaps being light isn’t about doing less but rather about feeling more—joy, wonder and curiosity.
Do people choose dogs that resemble them and could this even stretch to physical characteristics? It's a funny phenomenon, but yes, there's actually some evidence suggesting that people often choose dogs that resemble themselves! Several studies have found that people are more likely to choose pets that have similar physical features—whether it’s a similar hair type, facial structure, or even overall "vibe."
One well-known study from psychologist Michael Roy in 2004 showed that participants could match dogs to their owners with surprising accuracy just by looking at photos, suggesting there is some resemblance at play. The theory is that we’re naturally drawn to familiarity, so we might choose a dog that reflects our own characteristics.
Of course, beyond physical appearance, people may also be drawn to dogs with temperaments that match their personality—energetic breeds for active owners, calm dogs for laid-back people. It’s all part of the charm of the human-canine connection, where similarities foster bonding.
She carried her truth like light.
There’s power in stillness, and in this image, she holds it fully — poised, unflinching, and seen.
This is one of the few portraits I have of her, and perhaps the most revealing. Not because of what it shows, but because of what it dares to say:
“This is me.”

“Aside from the journey offered here, Imaginary day is a gem for what it presents in new sounds and tones. It is long-time journey filled with enjoyable twists and turns. An invitation for great experience and opportunity to hear some music that will hopefully be to rich for radio.”
From the project "I am what we are"
The project initiates and socializes with a large number of participants and audiences, and in the end, in itself, initiates a sequel and a new event next year.
"I am what we are" undoubtedly warms and touches hearts, original and simple, yet voluminous and complex enough, through 101 ordinary human stories it leads you to think, document, display and educate. In addition to its visual arts, the project is multidisciplinary with a final emphasis on environmental and humanitarian processes in society, cooperates with other entities and provides opportunities for many years of sustainable development, of course, takes care of gender representation and equality.
All 101 photos were taken with Fujifilm X-Pro2, Fujinon 90mm f1:2 and Acros black and white film simulation. No tripod, flash or extra light was used in any of the photos. All are made in authentic and working conditions of the people participating in this project.

Freetown
Collective living as the new normal.
Only freedom is holy.
The dance floor is for dancing.
We never touch without consent.
We always respect a no.
We party responsibly or go home.
We look out for each other.
We spread love and good energy.
The break point for where joy is happening.
n the old town of barcelona, a passerby strides along a striking pink backdrop, a vibrant contrast to the muted tones of their attire. the walls whisper tales of the past, with patches and textures speaking to the city's rich tapestry. it's a scene where urban life and colorful history intersect, with each step along the cobbled streets adding to the narrative of this bustling catalan corner.
Trpejca
Ohrid Lake
Local stories tell a tale of the village being named after a woman who was the wife of a man called Trpe, in turn they called her Trpejca.
Those who do remain continue to live here, each family still relying heavily on farming their own food and livestock.
The village of Trpejca is home to around 250 inhabitants and has just one school with five kids. One of them on drawing paper written: “From my window is Cannes.”

I was listening and singing Ben Sidran’s - Blue Camus tonight when I noticed that they are looking at me very strange and I said:
To the other guy, you're the other guy
To the stranger, you're the stranger
It gets so dark you can't even see the light
And there's a dance that you can do
Between the day and the night
Between what’s wrong and what’s right
Where it gets so dark
It’s all is so clear.
CD cover for Risto Melovski - DJ Icko
Those were the days my friends, we thought they'd never end…
I still can not believe that you are gone. I saw you full with life, ideas and plans for the future not more than 4 weeks ago. We were on the top of the Vodno mountain above the city of Skopje discussing about your next project and my cover photo again plus design about it. You did your part, I did mine and we agreed that everything is going in right directions, but Covid-19 takes another life.
This was cover for his special edition of “Four Seasons - Autumn Sessions” released in 2008 and presented in September 2009 at MoCA Skopje - Museum of Contemporary Art as part from our multimedia exhibition named “Four Seasons”. On the second page of the same CD, we wrote:
“…”bpm” which is too slow for all those who wait, too fast for those who are afraid of it, and for all those who love, create and dream - infinite! Balance and freedom are in us and here they are waiting for their release, smiling and cheering the listeners, for us it is a treasure that cannot be bought, but won in a special, unique and original way. Their smiles are a gift to all of us!”
Yes, we were right, your music and your smile is gift for all of us.
RIP my dear friend.
Leo’s Yawning Masterclass 1/9
Before the drama begins: Leo, my mother, and a Bollywood tearjerker.
The curtain rises in the kitchen. Leo sits with my mother, both absorbed in a Turkish-dubbed Bollywood drama. My mother is teaching him the language, and Leo, ever the romantic, is transfixed by the weeping heroines. His look says, “Oh, the poor sweet girl…” He has a weakness for ladies in distress — a true artist’s empathy. At this moment, my mother has left the room, and it is just Leo and me. He does not yet know that I have come to confess my neglect, nor that I will soon ask him for a new yawn. For now, he is still immersed in cinema, a critic of melodrama, unaware that his own performance is about to begin.
