"The Silence of Gender" is a visual odyssey across the glaciers of Gethen, where the boundaries of form dissolve into threads of snow and fire. Inspired by Ursula K. Le Guin’s alien mythos, this series reimagines identity as a luminous dream—neither fixed nor finite, but woven from whispers and fractured symmetries. Here, androgynous travelers, feminine mystics, and childlike beings traverse a landscape of soft fabric and shattered mirrors, their journeys illuminated by the golden filaments of an unknown sky. Each piece is a collage of ancient ritual and futuristic calligraphy, a testament to the intimate breath of existence itself.

We walk the ice with names unspoken,
our shadows cast in ink and flame.
The sky is sewn with golden tokens,
each thread a whisper, none the same.
No mirror holds us, no form confines,
we melt like snow into the fire.
The silence hums in fractured lines,
a hymn to what we dare desire.

A visual comparison of BB86 and BSA 73mm. Basically both are identical in width and both place the bearings in the identical locations relative to the crank's spindle. BB86 is "inboard" while BSA 73mm is "outboard". BB86 gives me a bunch more wiggle room to keep chainring clearance and tire clearance without running out of BB shell width as so many times occurs with titanium chainstays.
