VISUAL LIBRARIES - Leave your Mark.
A collaborative, visual project which encourages you to sign out a Visual Library Book and ‘Leave Your Mark’.
A Visual Library Book is whatever you want it to be, a sketchbook, a journal, a diary, a notepad.
You can ‘Leave Your Mark’ in whatever way you want, ranging from drawing, writing, sewing, adding photographs, markings, printing and sticking. How you make your marks is entirely up to you. All we ask is that you have fun with the different themes. Just borrow it on your library card with other books and materials. If you are not already a member, just ask the staff to help you.
45 Visual Library Books have been placed in Portsmouth Central Library and each has its own theme ranging from; Portsmouth, My City, When I Open My Eyes, Whilst I Was Waiting, Love, What’s in My Pocket and Memories. The intention is for you to feel free to explore the Visual Library Books and choose a theme that you like.

Aurora did both photographic and visual analysis. Her visual count was based on looking dead into M42 with her 6" dob @ 1200mm with a 32mm EP. She charted the stars on graph paper and then counted up the totals.

El secretario de Cultura Sergio Bravo presidió la entrega de premios del XXXIII Salón Provincial de Artes Visuales que tuvo lugar el viernes pasado en el Museo de Arte Contemporáneo. Estuvo acompañado por el coordinador de director de Patrimonio Cultural Diego Ashur, la directora del Museo, Claudia Lamas y la directora general de Gestión Cultura María Claudia Germán.
En esta edición del certamen participaron siete especialidades artísticas: Pintura, Escultura, Grabado, Dibujo, Arte Textil, Fotografía y Nuevos Soportes e Instalaciones. El Gran Premio de Honor correspondió a la especialidad Dibujo.

"The Night of the Black Cat" takes place on one magical night when some of France's most famed artists travel through time to entertain in the salon of Germaine de Stael. It's a provocative, fun-filled musical set in the French Cabaret “Le Chat Noir” in Paris 1881, featuring forbidden poetry, passionate dancing and sensual music. The show is an original work based on themes that resonated through the Parisian café in the years after its opening. Experience a taste of a revolutionary artistic movement set in the watering hole of the world’s most influential artists including George Sand, Jane Avril, Edith Piaf, Picasso and other luminaries. The Night of the Black Cat is a mystical, magical, and sensual night.
