www.artjunk.typepad.com I plan to journal on this soon. while I was painting backrounds, I painted the middle and then saw it as a "neck" and visualizing making a body across the page. thought it turned out cool. hmmm...I really love this free flow painting!

My concentration is a visual exploration of how light and color interact in small town and rural environments. This photo was taken outside a movie theatre in a small town (Alexandria) and uses the cool blue of the car headlights to contrast the warmth of the street light and "Alex" neon sign. It is a balanced composition that also uses the car headlights as movement.

This is a set of 5 over-sized postcards of some of my visual journal pages. Each glossy postcard represents a journal spread, and is 8.5" x 5.5". The printing quality is so good, you can read my writing and feel what I was feeling when I created the journal page. Keep it for yourself for art inspiration, or mail it. The back is blank, except for my information, so you can write a note and address it.
Aside from the junk during the travel phase of my vacation, this plate represents most of my meals during my 4 day vacation. I ate this stuff pretty much breakfast, lunch and dinner--except for a a few larabars, cheese rectangles, and some Fritos. :D

"The Night of the Black Cat" takes place on one magical night when some of France's most famed artists travel through time to entertain in the salon of Germaine de Stael. It's a provocative, fun-filled musical set in the French Cabaret “Le Chat Noir” in Paris 1881, featuring forbidden poetry, passionate dancing and sensual music. The show is an original work based on themes that resonated through the Parisian café in the years after its opening. Experience a taste of a revolutionary artistic movement set in the watering hole of the world’s most influential artists including George Sand, Jane Avril, Edith Piaf, Picasso and other luminaries.
