Theme was Best in Shoulder Pets and was held on Tuesday 24th February 2015 at the Majestic Falls in Bloom venue at Two Moon Gardens from 12pm to 2pm SLT with DJ Greywolf and hostess Elleese.
I met Tegen only once, at Klein, and I have to say that even in that really short moment I felt that I was in the company of someone very special. The truck really is a wonder truck: It can fly, swim, negotiate the wildest terrain - of course with a kick ass driver like Mossy at the wheel.
I love to see this evidence of life on Syncretia, which seems to go on even when I am not around: Mossy has parked the truck in front of the Angry Monkey tent and suddenly the whole place looks inhabited.
I also took the opportunity for a mini fashion photo shoot:

Up until about 800 years ago Turks were nomads, living on the plains of Central Asia. So, contrary to popular misconception, we are not a middle eastern/Arabic culture but an oriental one; the closest linguistic relatives being Korean and Japanese. And apparently my own looks kick back to a great grandfather from Bukhara...
So, what better dwelling than a tent for a virtual nomad?
This one is from Angry Monkey, although I changed all of the original textures. Those were quite nice too but not exactly right for Syncretia.
The Brand NEW ICY POND is on PROMO For just 225L. A great small pond garden with Christmas tree, seating and yet ONLY 14 prims, mod/copy and would fit in an 18m x 18m space. This is a must have for any small garden or corner of a larger plot.

Nothing like a bit of healthy competition, is there? Not to be outdone by the likes of Amina (smug little cow!), I have brought my own interpretation to the "Aqva" theme.

The mohawk which I recommend for this outfit is called "Thunderdrome". For me it is the mohawk amongst mohawks in SL. And you will need to put it on before you know all the reasons. It has been created by none other than the amazing Ms. Helena Stringer. Not only amazing for talent but also for generosity: She is giving away this beauty as a dollarbie texture tester at her store at Lyashko:
SWEET HOLLOW STABLES - 229 Prims and 40M x 40M - lots of typical farmyard elements including chickens pecking in the grass, a small pond, a hay pile and a farm cart - both with singles and couples sits, a few large and small trees, flowers and of course that all important barn complete with hay bales. All of this in a walled and gated space with a sale price of only 249L

More shots of the power plant and Cappadocia. I have added a series of hamster wheels which I did do some work on first: Lifitng the wheels out of their cages and adding some color and shine really helped integrate them into the plant I think. Also added are some gothic thorn bushes from the Heart Gardening Center, which I have sunk into big concrete planters. I have decided long ago that plants sunk into SL soil just don't do it for me. And I have added the rain, huge thunderstorms in fact. This has all been taken with windlight and I love the way you get a mixture of sun and rain in some of these. It has proven to be almost impossible to capture the lightning on these shots, but if you actually go there you will see that it is lightning and thundering like crazy...
There are many repeat shots here where the only difference is the windlight settings. I am uploading them anyway since it may interest people to see how big the difference is.
later tries in doing architecture within SL environment; using my own photographs, turning them into 1-bit black & white images with threshold command in photoshop, saving them as transparent PNGs, mapping them onto transparent planes within the metaverse.
photos used are from amsterdam, netherlands (bikes) and cadiz, spain.
Held at Happy Daze Bar which was part of the Babylon 5 Roleplay which is still above the Delenn sim in Second Life.
This one took a long time coming. It is the sister outfit of one called "My name is Black" which Grapho made quite some time ago. It is a challenge when you base a garment on as spectacular a book as "My name is Red" by Orhan Pamuk is. The story evolves around a murder mystery involving a group of calligraphers in 16th century Istanbul. And so, Xia based the garment on Ottoman ornamentations and (predictably enough) the color red.
This is unisex and has a huge turban (well, sort of ;-) festooned with pennants, harem boots, arm and leg attachments and male and female belts.

This very ambitious virtual architecture project is being developed by 2 of our students Bulut Sakçak and Fethi Özdol.
A vastly scaled down version rezzed in a sandbox, this building generates itself depending upon its usage at the time and the number of its users... Modules generate themselves above and to the sides of the spiral construct, which is in a perpetual state of slow rotation btw, depending on user numbers and need. Crowded days will see a much larger building, quiet days a smaller one...

The poses are by the amazing Frigg Ragu. Who else? I am addicted. Actually looking forward to taking photos of these things nowadays! Amazing...
This is actually a really old outfit which I completely retextured and added countless attachements to. It is unisex, has male/female skins, skirts for both, capes - one simple the other one more ornate, no less than 4 variations on the necklace (got a tad carried away there - hhh), torso, arm and leg ornaments, boots for boyz and gurlz, and a mohawk of course.

An unexpected Sunday morning delight: Bett had just been telling me about Eshi Otawara's building frenzy at Dirk Talamasca's sim Desperado. Apparently she has been rebuilding the sim every night. Just having returned I missed some great stuff obviously. However, this morning she invited us NPIRL'ers over to take a look. And here it is folks! WOW, right?

This discussion introduced state-of-the-art experimental practices in the field of networked and/or distributed creativity. Concepts and people behind two leading European initiatives called ETP (European Tele-Plateaus) and CO-ME-DI-A (Cooperation and Mediation in Digital Art), both co-produced by CIANT, will be the main focus. How do artists think about networks and how do they make use of high-speed Internet in order to collaboratively create one single installation or performance with its co-creators being in different locations?

It was almost like a case of spontaneous combustion: wolfie's beautiful red Cadillac just went up in flames! In the middle of the shop! Thank goodness he wasn't in it himself at the time! (Too busy setting up the fuse from a safe distance, I would imagine...)
Lots of repeat shots here, but quite frankly, I am amazed that I kept enough of a clear head on my shoulders to be able to even take photographs at all! So, I do think that it is understandable that I may have overclicked!
This morning, in the aftermath of the calamity, the sad debris has been cleaned away and we are back to our everyday state of affairs. But what an evening it was!
With the snowflakes falling and 1000L on the board it's the perfect time to put on warm winter outfits and join us at Two Moon Gardens. Playing some great music will be DJ Greywolf, assisted by his lovely hostess Elleese. We will be at our beautiful Majestic Falls in Winter venue all ready for your enjoyment with a large ice floor perfect for skating as well as dancing, planters exploding with snow sprinkled flowers and tumbling water falls. Will you look at that totally bizarre getup on that uppity old rabbit please?
I mean I tried... I really did... Even gave her the name of my ultra secret face cream. And what woman does that!?!
She needs it too: Even her ears are sagging... And as for her jowls? Let us not even go there! Threw all of my good efforts straight back in my face, she did - the snippy little madam: Said she certainly didn't need any beauty advice from me!!!
Can you believe that?

Grapho is back after a long vacation, since Burning Life to be exact!
He has created a third in his natural things series, this one a mechanically aided scarab beetle. Comes with male/female skins, the spike boots, spike arm and leg bands and a mohawk. Oh and, a verrry naughty pair of open-fly jeans so that the critter has room to show itself off in all its glory, crawling all over your abdomen! :-)

Truth be told, I initially made this avatar precisely for this purpose - for the sim, to take photographs. The idea to release it as part of the alpha.tribe collection came later...
So, here they are, my contradictory avatars. ;-)
This is yet another bit of old-work recycling. It used to be a poster designed for a design exhibition organized by the city of Daegu in Korea, hence the name of the outfit:

My recent visit to Karnak is still roaming around in my brain. So, here I am playing Alphshepsut (a thoroughly questionable reincarnation of Hatshepsut?)......
I was actually looking for something completely different in a sky shop when I stumbled upon this dress and really beautiful it is too. So, I took myself to the Egyptian temple at Themiskyra and did a little playing around being an Egyptian Priestess...
