Xia has created 3 skin based outfits which are loosely inspired by Henri Rousseau's paintings (or so she insists - but you know Xia). For one of them she has created a custom headpiece but for the others she recommends Helena Stringer's amazing mohawk Thunderdrome, to be found amongst the texture testers at her store, the Mausoleum:
Copy/Mod and partial mesh the Li/prim count is 10 for this lovely statue that would grace any garden. Entwined with flowers for that spring/summer feel. Also perfect for role play areas.

The mohawk which I recommend for this outfit is called "Thunderdrome". For me it is the mohawk amongst mohawks in SL. And you will need to put it on before you know all the reasons. It has been created by none other than the amazing Ms. Helena Stringer. Not only amazing for talent but also for generosity: She is giving away this beauty as a dollarbie texture tester at her store at Lyashko:

I add the clockwork skin created by Pandora Wrigglesworth to the steampunk arms and legs and remove the hair and ears. Now, I think, Alpha is closer to the Valley.
There definitely has to be something to this theory: I do not feel good subjecting Alpha to all of this and the subtle shifts from human to only peripherally human make me feel decidedly uncomfortable.

It's poor overworked brain gave in to the confusion of the 0's and 1's and one day it started acting strangely. It was like the will to live was taken out of it. Hack, who has considerable medical experience, pronounced it brain dead. He must have come over at some point today or yesterday and put it out of its misery. When I looked for it today it was no longer around...
Due to its digital nature it could not be given a decent burial but at least it got a memorial plaque, right where it fell - on the northern shore of Syncretia, at the foot of the power plant.

It's cherry blossom time and Cherry Blossom Place Measures 50m x 50m and is mod/copy with a cuddle bench.
This is a stunning setting with an array of sculpted Cherry Blossom trees. Falling blossom drifts on to the flowery ground with a wooded feel of purple bell flowers and wild tulips. There is a rustic path that weaves its way through the flowers and trees which leads to a circular seating area. An antique wrought iron cuddle bench with 14 animations is present in the seating area and dancing pink butterflies add to a natural feel.

This time Alpha is a siren, yet another not-so-desirable female archetype. She is a mixture of fish, zebra and human. I will also be trying out the golden ocelot skin with this one. She does look like the sort of female that not much good can be expected from I must say... However, does she fall into the Valley?
I got the siren assembly kit at Grendel's and practically re-did an avatar using Flea Bussy's prims. The original avatar has always seemed somewhat meager to me in terms of fins and so on. Here, I multiplied each fin by at least 8 and re-attached the same bunch to spine, pelvis and stomach. The Zebra skin came today as a present from Vry Offcourse, who incidentally, is one of my acquaintances in SL. We met through my photos of the Ocelot skin and we have been sporadically keeping up ever since - a state of affiars soon to improve I hope: Turns out Vry and I are colleagues. She too is a graphic designer. So, as soon as this work frenzy of mine is over we will get together and hang out a bit; comparing our taste in fonts no doubt... hhhh
The Centre for European Studies at the University of Exeter opened a room within the (SL) European University in the autumn of 2007. However, the automatic visitor counter gives a low total, indicating perhaps a lack of promotion or interest since launch.

Truth be told, I initially made this avatar precisely for this purpose - for the sim, to take photographs. The idea to release it as part of the alpha.tribe collection came later...

Up until about 800 years ago Turks were nomads, living on the plains of Central Asia. So, contrary to popular misconception, we are not a middle eastern/Arabic culture but an oriental one; the closest linguistic relatives being Korean and Japanese. And apparently my own looks kick back to a great grandfather from Bukhara...
So, what better dwelling than a tent for a virtual nomad?
This one is from Angry Monkey, although I changed all of the original textures. Those were quite nice too but not exactly right for Syncretia.

Various crazy things developed by arts students. Great fun wandering around here, as well as sitting next to the fire. My (real life) one is warmer, though.
TUMBLING FALLS - Amazing ALL MESH Garden - Only 92 prims - SALE PRICE 499L
This is a must not miss garden at a fantastic SALE price. It is a 32m x 32m space with pretty planting in soft mauves and lavender in raised beds around a central paved space and all in only 92 prims. Add to this three tumbling water falls all set beneath curving side walls. This would make a superb dancing area. Make sure you come and see for yourself.
