Ladys view is on the road between Killarney and Molls gap in County Kerry. There is a great view looking back down the valley over Muckross lake and Lough leane with McGillycuddy reeks to the left.

The name Lady's view comes from Queen Victoria and her ladies visit in 1861 who like so many others found it stunning.

AND DEATH SHALL HAVE NO DOMINION -- is a poem written by Welsh poet Dylan Thomas (1914–1953).

This poem is a great example of how ,Thomas found a way to express just that; why do we need religion to appreciate that death, may be the end of individuals ,but never the end of life and love in general nor of memories. Death does not make a lived life meaningless and thus shall have no dominion .The title comes from St. Paul's epistle to the Romans (6:9).

My favourite poem from my Grammar School Days . Will be a favourite of those, who have lost loved ones.

My last image of this set.

Dylan Thomas was born in Swansea but his family roots were in Carmarthenshire and it was this county that provided him with a constant source of inspiration.

He lived at the Boathouse , Laugharne ,for the last four years of his life during which time many major pieces of work were written - including Under Milk Wood. The Boathouse, where Dylan and Caitlin lived with their 3 children. , Aeronwy, Llewelyn and Colm from 1949 to 1953, is now a heritage centre.

The Boathouse ,is set in a cliff overlooking the glorious, 'heron priested' Taf Estuary .

Madīnat az-Zahrā is the ruins of a vast, fortified Arab Muslim medieval palace-city built by Abd-ar-Rahman III al-Nasir, (912–961) Umayyad Caliph of Córdoba, and located on the western outskirts of Córdoba, Spain. It was an Arab Muslim medieval town and the de facto capital of al-Andalus, or Muslim Spain, as the heart of the administration and government was within its walls. Built beginning in 936-940, the city included ceremonial reception halls, mosques, administrative and government offices, gardens, a mint, workshops, barracks, residences, and baths.

The little Seaview Transportation Company doesn't have much in the way of scenery or geographic features along its 7 miles of 'mainline' across the Quonset Business Park on the east shore of Narragansett Bay. About the only spot of note is this deep cut through Devil's Foot Rock just west of the US Route 1 overpass at about MP 1.5 where the two legs of the railroad split to the waterfront in Quonset and Davisville respectively.

The road's primary locomotive had been hand washed only a few days prior by the road's new VP (and me!) and hasn't looked this good in years. The rain really saturated the fall leaves and the vibrant blue making for a better scene than we expected.

SVTX GP10 1855 was built as a GP9 in Aug. 1956 for the Baltimore and Ohio as their #6467. Later rebuilt by ICG's Paducah Shop she bounced around on different shortlines until coming to Rhode Island in 2006 where she was given this snappy paint job.

Locals in the Daytona Beach, Florida area know City Island to be where the library and courthouse are located, but it's also a place where many people like to take a leisurely stroll by the river to enjoy the beautiful, tropical scenery.

In this shot, taken behind the library, you can see the Halifax River and the International speedway Blvd. Bridge in the background. The bridge is one of the prettiest I've ever seen, with its long, flowing expanse, and exquisite mosaic murals which depict Florida wildlife. The murals are not just on the top of the bridge, interspersed along the way for motorists to enjoy, but underneath on the pilings, so boaters can, too! If you look in large, you can barely see the manatees and dolphins that adorn the pilings underneath.

One shot I took of this bridge was used in a bridge builder's magazine in South America. I have a copy somewhere. One of these days I will dig it out and photograph it. It's all in Spanish, so I will have to translate what is being said about the bridge!

This view is the first thing I see every morning - just spectacular. The view is over Val di Merse and in the background you see Monti Amiata.

Shot with the RF 100/2.8 Macro on the trusty EOS R5. Maybe not the obvious choice of landscape lens, but I was in a hurry. Colour graded in Capture One Pro and stitched of 4 images in Photoshop.

Mike the builder is a bit of a cheeky chap, in a nice way, so I thought I would pull his leg, and tell him that Jamie let me up on the roof with him to see the views up there! Then I sent him this photo as 'proof'!! I'm pleased to say the roof is done now, and looking at Jamie's photos, we made the right decision by having the whole roof done. Some of the woodwork was sagging or even missing and the roof felt wasn't in the best condition. I might make a collage of some of Jamie's roof pics.
