A gorgeous day in the valley, taken around noon from the Valley View turnoff on Northside Drive along the Merced River, showing El Capitan, Bridal Veil Falls, and the Three Brothers. A week ago this scene was buried in snow.

View from the top of the Kinderscout peak in the Peak District National Park.

This was taken about half way between Kinder Low and Kinder Down Fall, with Kinder Reservoir in the distance, and behind it the village of Hayfield where we stated from.

As you can see it's still a bit snowy at the top, tho it's actually mostly frozen and turned into ice instead - the going would have been a lot easier wearing crampons - there was a lot of slipping and sliding - talk about suffering for your art - i ache *so* much this morning :-s

Winter view of Anchorage, Alaska from Earthquake Park. The views from the park are great. It is a quick and nice visit, if you are ever in the area.

Just a view from the famous Nussberg towards a city called Vienna.

Enjoy, thanks and see ya.

A massively touristy photo, but it's a great view

A big thanks to all of you Flickrites who have made this possible for me, thanks, 8/6/15.

The highway going east from the Zion N.P. west entrance climbs a series of switchbacks before diving into a series of tunnels. The view looking back to the west from this point is pretty spectacular.

- loving it!

The campground is located in a nice stand of trees just behind this view. The old road has not been in use for many years but makes an excellent trail. There are many trails to take in any direction from this spot. Tombstone Lakes, Rae Lake and more if you are really adventurous.

Cherry blossoms are highly appreciated in Japan. They bloom in March-April to be destroyed by the rains when at the peak of their beauty, thus being a symbol of the samurai, who gives his life for his master at the height of his strength.

During the cherry blossoms season people organise flower viewing trips and parties, in which, curiously enough, there is a lot more eating and - mainly - drinking than the occasional flower viewing.

This picture was taken at the Shinjuku Imperial Garden, famous for its cherry trees (sakura). The office where I used to work was nearby and I have taken part in a few flower viewing lunches right on this spot. It could as well have been me on the other side of the lens.
