I've always like the view you get of the reservoir from this point and it's a good place to get your breath back after the climb up there. I'm sure those hills are getting bigger.
Below is one including Poppy who was in fine form posing on the top of every rock. Her energy amazes me. She would have done the walk that took me 4 hours in about 10-15mins I reckon.

This is Valley View, the classic horizontal shot. This is a shot from 3 combined exposures. One for the sky, one for the mountains, and one for the water and trees. Hope you like it! :)

Alderley Edge is a dramatic sandstone ridge with impressive views over the Cheshire plain towards Manchester and to the hills of Cheshire’s Peak District. The broad ridge top is well wooded with Scots pine and beech trees.

Checked out the Isle of View all by myself... That's actually a half truth lol. I was on a Discord call sharing video with my RL partner Nuku while he was playing WoW but watched me playing with my Barbie doll er.. my avatar in SL. :3
the view from the "hendrix" bridge over sava river in zagreb. i was trying to find out how heigh it is, but i guess i have to try harder. it's a rail bridge, no pedestrians, no cars, only illegal climbers such as us. it's quite an experience to walk up the 1m wide steel plates with no bordering of any kind, glimpsing below as you climb.
a train passing the bridge while you're up there is a special bonus indeed.
i need to take a better picture from the ground for a better idea where this actually is...
It was dark when we arrived at the cabin in Bryson City, NC last night. This was the view from the back porch when I woke up this morning

I'm always trying to only look forward and not look back. But I have broken my own rule and taken a look in the rear view mirror...
Last year I thought that the year 2011 was a tough year for me. Yes, I have been working too much and a lot of my goals, hopes and wishes have not come true.
But I have had the opportunity to be with a fantastic and highly inspiring person that besides of sharing many happy moments with, helped me to realize many new things about my self. And I have a lovely family and lots of really great new and old friends that I have been having a good time with.
And now, as I look in the rear view mirror, I can only see the happy, wonderful moments of last year. I would say that all of you around me made the year 2011 to the best year in my life! Thank you!!!!!

"Painter William Mazza responds to his surroundings in many exploratory ways. He mines the words from texts written by such authors as Angela Davis, Cecilia Vicuna, Anne Waldman, and Susan Sontag. He then separates them into the letters that fill one written page…and one painting."
The passage of text incorporated into this painting appears in the book pages next to it.

This was my first time trying Portra and my second time shooting with my new (to me) Mamiya 645, so it was pretty exciting to get it back in the mail today. I have some learning to do with this camera -- my focus is a mess -- but overall I am quite pleased.
I hope everyone who celebrates has a very Merry Christmas.
I believe this to be a lovely ''Common Darter'.. 'Sympetrum striolatum'.... sun bathing..

'This is a small dragonfly that spends long periods perched on vegetation, walls, fences and even garden canes and washing lines. It suddently darts out from its perch in pursuit of a fly and often returns to the same perch.
It is a very common species in England, Wales and Ireland, less common in Scotland.
Only mature male common darters are red. Females and newly-emerged males are a pale greeny-brown colour'..
