Beautiful mountain views for me, and nice ballgown views for you. Well, and maybe some sweet secret views from the neighbors too. They're welcome, you're welcome, everybody happy.

One from a month or so ago. I was not going to use it as the reflection in the bottom left annoyed me but desperate times call for desperate measures. I had planned a trip to the Isle of Skye in September. I booked my flights months ago but never booked accommodation - not there is nothing available where I need to be...I was relying on those photos to play catch up...hence using this below par photo.
This is taken from the "Walkie Talkie" building in Fenchurch Street. Unlike the Shard, entrance is free as long as you pre-book and I have heard the views are better. I still need to go up The Shard so I can't comment on that. The viewing level is pretty spectacular with a massive atrium and a couple of restaurants and bars. I would have preferred a later time slot when the light was not as harsh. but hey, beggars can't be choosers!

Last Saturday, we had tickets to go to the theatre. However, then there was a train strike! So, we decided to stay overnight in a hotel. And this was the view from our window. What a great spot & a lovely evening away from home.
The Play was really good too. “Jack Absolute Flies Again” at the National Theatre.
For a short walk this is big on views and the landscape was at its most lush looking in early June. Along the line of the Downs I can see Chanctonbury Ring, approximately five miles away and Wolstenbury Hill, more than 20 miles away
A view from Wee Binnian in the Mourne Mountains in Co. Down. This is looking down over the Silent Valley reservoir with Carlingford Lough and the Cooley Peninsula of Co. Louth in the distance.

It was very busy down this street and I had to wait ages until there were fewer people in my shots. Whilst I waited, I took this photo of a different view of the street.
I was so hoping that when I arrived here along US Hwy. 40 that I would be able to get my first glimpse of Pike's Peak. But not this day because of those heavy storm clouds. This is about all that remains today of First View, Colorado.
Another week under a stay at home order in Honolulu. This is the latest addition to a body of work exploring in and around my home during the 2020 Pandemic.

Our room had this wonderful view of the heart of Brugge (Bruges). We sat there for ages just taking in the the scene with its historic buildings and canals. Our room was originally part of a brewery, built in the 16th century.
