View from my in-laws' balcony where I am staying. This view is typical. You can't look in any direction without seeing a hill in the background.

An aerial view of Phoenix, Tempe and Scottsdale. The brown building (near the bottom) right next to the fan-shape parking lot is actually where I work in Tempe. Parts of Phoenix and Scottsdale can be seen in the middle and upper portions of the image.

Have a fantastic day, everyone...
all of the views to the south of the house at Taliesen are wide-open, showing the rolling landscape of his mother's family, the Lloyd-Joneses -- but on the north side, Wright allowed trees to grow up to block the view, because his family didn't own that land -- he only wanted to look at a view that he controlled.
The view from atop the Craggy Pinnacle Hike inside the Craggy Gardens area of the Blue Ridge Parkway. This is an easy hike with big rewards. For a video guide of this hike, please visit: www.hdcarolina.com/episode/craggy-pinnacle-hike
A view from the top of Pikes Peak at 14,115 Ft. The oxygen was thin. The first snow colors of the beginning of a snow season.
Pikes Peak is one of Colorado's 53 fourteeners, mountains more than 14,000 feet (4,267.2 m) above sea level. The mountain rises 8,000 ft (2,400 m) above downtown Colorado Springs. Pikes Peak is a designated National Historic Landmark.
"Tava" or “sun,” is the Ute word that was given by these first people to the mountain that we now call Pikes Peak. The band of Ute people who called the Pikes Peak region their home were the "Tabeguache," meaning the "People of Sun Mountain.

A quick trip to Ban Phe., close to Rayong.
Had hoped for a nice afternoon and some shutter therapy, but a severe thunder storm put an effective end to those dreams. Ended up buying some delicious, cheep cheeses, in a small Swedish shop. Greve cheese fro Sweden and a seriously mature Cheddar. Wow!!
Despite a grey, dull afternoon, some really bad photos and a long night without internet, I eventually conquered my frustration, and with some handy help from my post photo skills.
Just a small memory from a day to forget....
View Point at Rayong, Beach.
This mountain view was seen from the observation tower at Wayah Bald in western North Carolina near the town of Franklin. Prints, and many other items, are available with this image on my website at www.tom-claud.pixels.com. Thanks for visiting!!
I was lucky to get a window seat again on the flight home. what a view as we flew over the greek islands, this one is Milos on route as we then passed over Athens.
The surrounding view of Machu Picchu is simply breathtaking. It 's amazing how the Inca has constructed such a magnificent citadel without the use of heavy equipment. I am pondering whether they actually used the Urubamba river to transport materials from Cusco and then use these terraces to move them up the mountains.
View into Edale from Kinder at 8am on Saturday morning. The morning mist (cloud inversion?) was just stunning - I don't think any shot could have done it justice.
ift.tt/1uGTkJi: A pair of binoculars at the viewpoint of Kohtuotsa in the Toompea hill at the old town of Tallinn. You can see almost the whole city from there. The mixture of old and new buildings is very visible here. - ift.tt/2qn6CNF //
