The Katoomba Scenic Railway is an incline railway built between 1878 and 1900. The incline railway descends 415 metres through sandstone cliffs, via a rock tunnel with a maximum gradient of 52 degrees. I got the front seat on the train and made this video of our descent into the valley.

Stilt Port of Carrasqueira - Porto Palafita da Carrasqueira
Situated the Natural Reserve of the Sado Estuary is the stilt fishing "port" of Carrasqueira which gives access to boats at even at low tide. This traditional port has served as an anchorage for local fishing boats for more than two centuries.

Another video of the lighting of the sails of the Sydney Opera House for the Vivid Festival. I used a different lens (Pentax 70mm f/2.4) and a lower f stop so it came out less grainy than previous videos.
Six Aboringinal artists designed the artwork for the lighting of the sails. The first sequence of artwork is by Donny Woolagoodja from the Kimberley in Western Australia. His designs are based on traditional ones. They feature Wanjina figures representing ancestral beings.
The second sequence is by Karla Dickens. Her designs are contemporary.
