I was having one of those days and I just knew something would go wrong.
Well I guess this guy was having one of those days too.
Watch for it at the very end :-)
Another short video clip showing some of the varied patterns which arise from soap and water films inside small frames. This is mainly as a response to the questions I've been asked about using this 'soap frame' for photography, to give an idea of the movement of the liquid. The inner circle measures 18mm but different sizes can be used. I would like to find a more attractive frame but this is the only one I have at the moment.
Taken with my trusty little Sony W50 'point and shoot' as my better Sony (A100) doesn't have the movie facility. The quality varies as the camera (on a tripod) is trying to focus, but it will give an idea of what's happening in real time.
I apologise for the irritating clicks - I don't have any way to mute the sound. Probably a good idea to turn your volume down before watching ;-)
Bluegrass and breakfast highlight Fort Eustis event
Live bluegrass music and free breakfast highlighted the “Mission: Breakfast” event sponsored by the J.M. Smucker Company at Fort Eustis, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Va., July 17.
Waves of people enjoyed the event held 7:30–10 a.m. as a reward for the Eustis Commissary winning the grand prize for having the most creative Smucker’s product display last October. Rhonda Vincent & The Rage provided live music as entertainment for the outdoor event that also featured giveaways and was open to all military service members, retirees and their family members.
It couldn’t have been more fun for Sheela Soares, a self-described breakfast enthusiast, who was there with her husband, Spec. Joseph Soares, and their daughter, Jaila. “This is great!: she said. "I’ve been dying to come to this ever since seeing the signs. I’m not disappointed!”

Nota de prensa:
Ok, I thought the sound was from this beetle. I know it's a cricket sound, but I thought maybe I've found another little creature that gives away the same sound. But while filming I started to think it's impossible to "sing" so evenly and move so fast. And I've heard then the sound was coming from a bit more left. And after the climbing beetle left the sound was still there. :) So don't make the same mistake and don't think this beetle is so loud if you see it and hear a cricket at the same time. :)
And thanks to natalija's photostream I know now the ID of this beetle.
In 2003 I created a video art version of my “from only a mile away” poem. It was premiered at a screening event at St. John’s in the Village on 18 August 2004. This is a still from that video.

I'm not sure if this has been done before but if it has let me know so I can give credit.
Anyways I had an idea to outfit my USDF figs with a video communications pack. The idea is it lets the commanders know what is going on in the field in real time, kinda like the colonial marines in the movie aliens.

Had an amazing display of northlight just now, and took some high ISO / f/1.4 video to share how incredibly fast it is moving, enjoy!
In this video you can see a lot of little fish on the reef besides the shots of the Jellyfish. Also, you can see / hear me talking with my hotel and the lighthouse in the background. I say while speaking that this is my second dive for the day. Earlier I went out with Candace and morgan snorkel / diving in the ocean out beyond the reef. Later I will add some video / photos of Candace and Morgan snorkel diving.
I am adding to the description a comment I'm making in response to rhdilla:
Thanks for your explanation. I have been swimming / surfing / snorkeling in the ocean all my life, I know what it feels like to get stung by Jelly fish. I have a LOT of experience with this. I have been stung all over my body before. So I know what kind of risk these creatures present. And I know what I'm dealing with. Some sting a lot more than others. This one was harmless.
Although in truth, I realized I was dealing with a potentially venomous animal. So in that sense you are very right, correct, in that I am risk taker. In any case, I have a LOT of experience being in the water with Jellyfsh. Generally they are annoying if not downright painful. But the ones in this area were no problem at all. I saw a lot of them.
