Very damp and grizzly day in North Wales. It was amazing to see the different shades in the slate and rock made wet from the rain.
Thanks you very much for your visit, comments and faves. Cheers.

BIG storm over Barcy. Shot this a while ago just before it broke. In the middle of it as I post. Welcome relief from the heat.

This image is from a commissioned shoot I did for choreographer Sara Silken and her dance group. View her work on youtube at www.youtube.com/user/ssilkin
Sara is the one in this photo. I have about 7 more that I did for her and I might be posting one other to flickr at some point. And a bit later next week I'll put all of them on my fb fan page. We had lots of good fun with levitating that day :-)
In other news...the Linda Vista abandoned hospital shoot is just under a week away on July 3rd. I still have a couple slots for people to join in if you'd like, or if you know someone who lives here who wants to. The cost is $50 per shooter to come along for a 14 hour day of shooting in the hospital. This is not a group thing, we are all shooting individually.
VERY RUDE GESTURE, poking his tongue out, this Grey Heron, is a large and familiar wetland bird, often stands motionless for hours on end, waiting for prey to pass within striking range of its bill. However sometimes it will engage in active pursuit, fish and amphibians are its main prey. Seen at Bough Beech Reserve. Kent.

You can see, GODs BEAUTY IS SIMPLY AMAZING !
These teeny, seemingly fragile, very beautiful little Rosemary flowers are on a little plant in a 4" pot in the greenhouse. Is at max 1:1 magnification and also taken in aps-c, so effectively 1.5x, but with a 1.0 d.o.f. and a bit of a crop thrown in.
They were pretty awkward to photograph - I took some photos first and then uploaded in order to get an idea of what they were like, which didn't really help that much as even with the 20x was difficult to tell what was what on these pretty complex flowers, then I took a lot of various little flowers and angles but only a couple worth keeping. A bit hit and miss to say the least :^)
Very large, primarily ground-based cuckoo. Adults are streaked rusty brown in nonbreeding plumage. In breeding plumage the head and front are black. They can fly, but are more typically seen running/flapping across roads, or clumsily crashing into dense vegetation. Unlike many cuckoos this species builds its own nest and does not lay eggs in nests of other species. Voice is a familiar repeated ‘whoop,’ and a screeching cat-like hiss. (eBird)

We heard coucals many times during our trip, but this was one of the very few times we actually saw one. It was in the midst of its morning ablutions and sun bath (hence the ruffled feathers on its back), when we came around the bend in the river. It stopped briefly to peer at us, determined we were not a threat (it was far away and very high), and went back to its bath.

Very small and incredibly fast, I always know when Eastern Spinebills are in my garden because they have a distinctive call. Seeing them is a joy while taking photos is a challenge. So I was thrilled recently when my patience was rewarded with some half decent photos of this delightful little bird in my backyard.
The Eastern Spinebill (Acanthorhynchus tenuirostris) is a species of honeyeater found in south-eastern Australia in forest and woodland areas, including my garden. It is around 15 cm long, and has a distinctive black, white and chestnut plumage, a red eye, and a long downcurved bill. The call is a clear, high-pitched, staccato piping "chip-chip-chip", sometimes repeated for lengthy periods.

Very much together, whilst one Brown Hare pauses to scratch the other makes full use of its senses to check for predators.
Thank you all for your kind responses.
Finn went to the very polished Seven Emporium sim for 50L Friday earlier, to get the 'Full Lubrication Service' sign (shush!), and walked around and saw this little broken boat on the shore with its big old rusty chain, and took a quick pic ...
The YT vid to this really has to be Selena Gomez, listen to it, and you'll understand this pic :)

You promised the world and I fell for it
I put you first and you adored it
You set fires to my forest
And you let it burn
Sang off key in my chorus
Cause it wasn’t yours
I saw the signs and I ignored it
Rose colored glasses all distorted
You set fire to my purpose
And I let it burn
You got off on the hurtin’
When it wasn’t yours
We’d always go into it blindly
I needed to lose you to find me
This dancing was killing me softly
I needed to hate you to love me
