The VT-27 Starfighter was primarily fielded from the Galactic Federation's carriers. With its twin fusion engines and four laser blasters, it was more than capable of protecting the fleet from any aggressor.

Velocitech have not perfected their long tail concept until 2214 when it was seamlessly integrated into their T1 track racing model. 2209, however, marked the first commercial appearance of the long tail. The limited-production Vesperto bore an uncanny resemblance to a bat and was said to appeal only to most exquisite tastes it terms of design and driving experience. Without a wide body (later seen in T1), Vesperto desperately needed extra downforce - this gave birth to the bat wing-like rear spoiler which doubled as rear lights. The model boasted innovative technologies that used stored solar power to illuminate the cockpit. Both headlights and tail lights were also equipped with UV light emitters which worked independently of the main power systems - in case of an electronic breakdown, the mechanical transmission would kick in, and with UV lights picking out road markings and other brightly-coloured objects, Vesperto could relatively safely procure her driver to the destination.
Due to heat and night visibility issues, the upper body was painted in reflective colours with gray (pictured) being the most common variation. Performance-wise Vesperto was rather unremarkable, but instead delivered a unique driving experience. It was a bat, after all - a light body and a very intricate steering demanded driver's continuous attention even at cruising speeds. It was not hardcore, but definitely not for everyone's taste, as she literally fluttered in the hands of her owner. The limited production run really helped, as it prevented the market from being crowded with unsold Vespertos - the demand accumulated only gradually, and the last models were scooped up by reluctant buyers several years after assembly lines were shut down. Overall, it was a concept done right, even though it did not generate much expected publicity for Velocitech.
