Unplug the connection with your everyday-life, just for today.

Today we met to thank all the helpers at the BarCamp Klagenfurt 2010

rediscovered my 85mm 1.8

There doesn't seem to be a free cable to plug in a laptop. I have to unplug the document camera and use that cable.

Sure it's thick, padded with all those ads. It makes me feel like I'm getting my $1.50 worth. But the ads aren't why I like the paper. In fact, the ads are pretty much useless since I don't have money to spend on what they're advertising.

I could appreciate this particular paper for its LIFE section, where all the engagements, births, horoscopes, and weddings are listed, but no, that probably wouldn't be accurate. (I did find out today that a girl I went to high school with was married last month, though. Huh, go figure.)

...the crossword puzzle is larger than the ones that run during the week, but that's not my favorite part. (I don't think I have ever finished a Sunday crossword in this newspaper.)

...wanna know what I think it is about the Sunday paper?

It makes me take quiet time for myself. Unplug, sign off, and focus on something tangible.

In actual use, a lot of details have been ignored while they have influenced the laptop battery performance and lifespan to a great extent. In fact, you'd better remove the laptop charger 5 seconds after the power indicating lights are died out. Although we have turned off the laptop computer, motherland is still working and consuming power energy. At that moment, if there's no external power supplies, batteries have to restart so that recharging cycles are reduced and lifespan shortened.

day 107 there are some days where i wish i could unplug myself from the world, if only for a moment.

We headed to Hocking Hills this past weekend, for what has become our annual unplug and recharge weekend.

The ancient castle of Carpiano near Gubbio in Italy dates back to 10th Century. Having subsequently been abandoned for many decades, Riccardo & Marilisa Parisi discovered the old hamlet in 2001 and immediately fell in love with that "pile of rocks". Beyond the careful and stunningly beautiful restoration of its buildings, they have also created the "Borgo di Carpiano" - by far our favourite place to take a holiday and "un-plug".

#10 is about to get plugged and it takes 8 hours to unplug. It all has to be pulled out by hand.

Time to unplug the internets. I'm procrastinating hard.
