This needs no comment, but i have a couple of things that go with it.
STORY ONE-
I just got an exciting letter (email) from Virginia.
The mural she just painted with Jesse had a social comment over to the side... a TV set with the legend on the screen.:
“UNPLUG TO ENLIGHTEN”.
I sent them this.:

I just noticed the TV thing in the mural.
I’ve got a goodie for you about that.:
PEOPLE WHO HATE SCIENCE WATCH ALOT OF TV.
Little do they know that the hardest science (maybe) is physics...
... and the hardest kind of physics is quantum physics.
The scientists don’t really understand it but the math from it is so precise... to nine decimal points....that things come out of quantum physics that they didn’t think could happen.... like

STORY TWO-
I went to Stacey and Sara’s birthday party.
As i was leaving, i came across this discussion, outside.:
“
I was heading out ( and stopping at the food table ) and encountered a group of people talking about the present political situation. I think they indicated that the GOP were asking for a leader like this.
I said, “It started with Reagan, i think.”
Somebody said, “It started with AGRICULTURE. We got arrogant after that.”
... which prompted me to finish with.:
HUNTING AND GATHERING......... THOSE WERE THE DAYS.

jared diamond has made that argument. he said hunter gatherer societies were more egalitarian. it is an article i have my students read every year.

- i don’t know if GPS comes from Quantum Physics but it IS highly dependent on Einstein’s work that explained that TIME is mushy. The clocks in space run at a different rate from the clocks on the ground. If adjustments were not made for this, GPS would be miles off.

In the present day, the GOP would never have voted for the likes of Ronald Reagan or Richard Nixon, in spite of all the trouble they stirred up.
They both had done unthinkable liberal things, as well.:
Reason backed off and raised taxes.!
Nixon started the EPA.!
What they needed now was the pure BS monster.
HIS clepto-lies are like music to their ears.

Greg, the chef at Northern Edge Algonquin, is also the one responsible for the beautiful stonework featured throughout the Lodge and Points North. This stonework Dragonfly Yin/Yang and wood-frame shelving looks good enough to use as wallpaper for your desktop.
We headed to Hocking Hills this past weekend, for what has become our annual unplug and recharge weekend.
After our whole group session broke for the evening, folks started to work at investigating the map, and began to add connections to help make sense of the various bits.
This is the house I grew up in. My family moved there in 1993, when I was 13, and my parents live there to this day. After the recession, I moved back from California, and ended up living at home a few more times before moving to Japan. It's a big house and I have two rooms and a bathroom there. My latest stint living there I arranged it in a really intensely-packed, yet super functional way. I miss those rooms. I'll most likely go back to live there one more time, after Japan, while I help my parents get the house ready to sell. It will be hard to say goodbye to, but this happens in life.
This is the living / entertainment / computer / art room. I used to have my bed in here as well, but after cleaning up the room next door, I made that my sleeping / reading / clothes-changing room.
I usually have Christmas lights set up in my rooms, but I went all-out this time, and also hooked them up to on/off switches, so I don't have to unplug them every time.

Following my sunrise morning photo solo paddle, and after a brief on-shore recuperation (kneeling in a canoe after a while takes its toll on your ankles), I ventured out onto the lake again, this time in the company of Tom Fullerton. In addition to enjoying the early morning lake and the ducks, we had a great conversation, and had a chance to share some wonderful stories.
Tom's comments during the #Unplugd closing circle were that much more meaningful as a result of this paddle on Saturday morning.

I keep coffee in this after I make the pot as I unplug the pot after it brews when I use the electric brewer. MMMMMM
To get inside, remove 5 screws from the front and back of the case. The panel and PCBs then comes out. Unplug the charger socket connector from the processor PCB.
