The last of the coal is unloaded from a train of MEA wagons at the Onllwyn processing facility in the Dulais Valley, South Wales. The pay dirt is top quality anthracite from the Gwaen -Cae - Gurwen open cast mine operated by Celtic Energy, brought in by 66115 from Swansea Burrows (6O08). The coal will be processed at the wash plant for subsequent despatch in HTA wagons to a briquette factory on the Immingham port to produce a whole range of high-quality smokeless fuels for the domestic and export market

Union Pacific 7516 and 8051 are on a work train at Rollinsville, Colorado, unloading ties. October 3, 2025, 2:17 p.m.
I have been with many tie-unloading trains in my years on the railroad, but this is about the most efficient way I have ever seen. In a span of four or five hours, one MofW employee unloaded 11 gondolas of ties. The railroad is using a John Deere OTMTracker, which runs on its own rails from car to car. In addition to the machine operator, a foreman walks along supervising the distribution, but one MofW person is actually doing the work.
Former ex QR unit then Tranz Rail unit 2010 has just commenced unloading its cement train at Devonport on 13-10-13.
2010 is one of 12 former 1460 / 1502 class built in 1964 for Queensland Railways, this loco being 1466. in the mid 1990s it was sold to Tranz Rail in New Zealand and rebuilt into a DQ class before ATN Tasrail bought the loco and arrived in Australia in October 1999
Self-unloading barge Joseph H. Thompson, owned by VanEnkevort Tug & Barge, begins unloading stone at the Osborne dock in Grand River. The barge is semi-permanently mated with the tugboat Laura L. VanEnkevort. In the distance at the extreme left are the cooling towers of the Perry nuclear power plant.
I think, there is no reason for deepening the river. It seems that this big container ships (400 m) doesn't have enough cargo anymore. There are only containers at the outside of the loading area, when these ships are arriving.

MV Catriona is a pioneering diesel electric hybrid passenger and vehicle roll-on, roll-off ferry built for Caledonian MacBrayne for the Claonaig - Lochranza crossing. She is the third hybrid ferry commissioned and owned by Caledonian Maritime Assets, one of three such ferries in the world to incorporate a low-carbon hybrid system of diesel electric and lithium ion battery power. The ferries are sea-going and are nearly 150 ft long, accommodating 150 passengers, 23 cars or two HGVs.
