To understand the difference in size of the two spiders and which is male/female, read below.
From Wiki:
The typical orb-weaver spiders (family Araneidae) are the most common group of builders of spiral wheel-shaped webs often found in gardens, fields and forests. Their common name is taken from the round shape of this typical web. All orb-weaving spiders may also be referred to as the Orbiculariae.
Orb-weavers have eight similar eyes, hairy or spiny legs, and no stridulating organs. The Araneidae family is cosmopolitan, including many well-known large or brightly colored garden spiders. The 3,006 species in 168 genera worldwide make Araneidae the third-largest family of spiders known (behind Salticidae and Linyphiidae).[1] The orb-weavers include over 10,000 species and make up about 25% of spider diversity.[2]
Generally, orb-weaving spiders are three-clawed builders of flat webs with sticky spiral capture silk. The building of a web is an engineering feat, begun when the spider floats a line on the wind to another surface. The spider secures the line and then drops another line from the center, making a "Y". The rest of the scaffolding follows with many radii of nonsticky silk being constructed before a final spiral of sticky capture silk. The third claw is used to walk on the nonsticky part of the web. Characteristically, the prey insect that blunders into the sticky lines is stunned by a quick bite, and then wrapped in silk. If the prey is a venomous insect, such as a wasp, wrapping may precede biting.
Many orb-weavers build a new web each day. Most orb-weavers tend to be active during the evening hours; they hide for most of the day. Generally, towards evening, the spider will consume the old web, rest for approximately an hour, then spin a new web in the same general location. Thus, the webs of orb-weavers are generally free of the accumulation of detritus common to other species, such as black widow spiders.
Sexual size dimorphism refers to the physical size difference between male and females of the same species. Spiders are regarded as one of the few terrestrial groups that show sexual size dimorphism, and one of the few sexually dimorphic groups that have females bigger than males, which is not typical. Typically, these characteristics are found in marine groups.[13] There is no broad explanation why this occurs in nature, however, there has been a lot of research that has been done to try to explain this phenomena. There are many hypotheses that have been suggested, however, none are sufficient alone.
In orb-weavers, the size dimorphism is typically known as extreme sexual size dimorphisms has the extent of the difference in size. There are many different species of orb-weavers, however, the size difference ranges from the female being 1.5-9 times bigger than males.[13] Sexual size of the female is typically thought to be selected for fertility. The bigger the female, the more eggs she can hold, and the more offspring that she can produce.
This idea is referred to as fecundity selection.[14] Selection for male size is not as well-known and many different theories have been suggested, however, evidence does show support that female size has increased over time and that male size as stayed constant.[13]
"I understand a ship to be made for the carrying and preservation of the cargo, and so long as the ship can be saved, with the cargo, it should never be abandoned. This Union likewise should never be abandoned unless it fails and the possibility of its preservation shall cease to exist, without throwing passengers and cargo overboard."

You have to hand it to Steve Sandberg and the Friends of the 261 - he really understands what makes a train look cool for his passengers and photographers. Unlike virtually every other steam group, he leaves his auxiliary tender at home if he does not feel he needs it. He keeps his Milwaukee painted passenger cars up front and together because it looks better - I know he refused to put some private cars up front in spite of requests to do so because he felt it would spoil the look of the train. He even trotted out his "old" original MILW tool car out to add to the Milwaukee Road look. Imagine NS or UP steam programs playing such close attention to appearances - no way.
And to top it off for this weekend of 261 trips on the TC&W, he laid on two photo run bys for passengers - which is now becoming almost a lost art for main line steam in the 21st Century. Plus, the TC&W allowed the train to run down the old M&StL to Winthrop, Minn., the first steam here since 1950 or 51, and the first passenger train since 1960.
So here's the train blasting through Hamburg, Minn., on a perfect Oct. 9, 2016. I can remember chasing Minnesota Valley trains on this track in the 1980s at 5 mph - never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined a 4-8-4 running this route.
She is Lemon , my cat . I always get jealous of her . She never needs to be worried about her meals. She can have a nice sleep whenever she wants . She can come to me asking for playing with when she gets bored . I think she never feels unhappy . Bur in this photo , she looks a bit upset . Well , mybe she was thinking about something that i can never understand . I am not a cat ,i will never understand their own sadness . Living in this world , everyone got their own worries , even Lemon .

I understand that it's often helpful to add people to a photograph, or a sign, or color; anything at all for perspective. "Wow, that is big!" "I had no idea it was so tall."
It's actually hard to take a photograph of Delicate Arch without people in it. (Except at sunset, when, if people don't get out of the way, they'll be quickly informed that they had better do so immediately.) I think I moved around so I could zoom in to get the whole arch without any people in my photo. Delicate Arch is iconic. It doesn't need perspective, or explanation. It doesn't matter if you visit morning or evening; summer or winter. You can stand beneath it or view a photograph of it from thousands of miles away. Delicate Arch is perfect no matter how you look at it.
I understand how hard it is for everyone who is worrying or even suffering from the epidemic. We probably can't do much to help those who are suffering already. However, take care of our well-being. Do not burden the public healthcare system furthermore, so that those who need medical treatment will get what is essential to them.

you will not understand unless you view large on white,
i like these both for different reasons, i mainly wanting to upload art is hard because that shoot was messy and fun and i needed to get something out of it
p.s. this is practically sooc, i didnt mess with the tones or flares, i just made the "exist" a litte darker so you could comprehend what was written
p.p.s new testimonials :D!
bo, spartacus photography, he quoted me on something i said some time back that i really needed to remember, "It's like you really love being by yourself, and you find comfort in your mind, but it's always so warming to know someone else feels the comfort in their own similar minds as well, and they feel it as you do. Harmony."

True to their name, I had once found Black-crowned Night-Herons to be much more active night hunters and fairly elusive during the day. In 2017 I found this spot in Naples, Florida where I could briefly watch them hunting shortly after sunrise. After the sun fully brightened the sky, they found a comfortable tree in which to roost and became inactive. For years, my only daytime glimpses of them had been roosting in trees. Since that time, however, I have found them on Long Island, where they hunt during mid-day, right out in bright sunlight. Just when you think you understand nature… March 2017

The water understands
Civilization well;
It wets my foot, but prettily,
It chills my life, but wittily,
It is not disconcerted,
It is not broken-hearted:
Well used, it decketh joy,
Adorneth, doubleth joy:
Ill used, it will destroy,
In perfect time and measure
With a face of golden pleasure
Elegantly destroy.

I understand I'm uploading this late. I understand it's almost midnight. I understand my thoughts at times and not at times, I understand yours. We are all hurting for something we crave for. We are all clueless when it comes to fear. We are all scared for the future and what we should be instead of what we want to be. We are human and we fall. We fall in fear and walk in day.
So, sleep before the sun. Before the thoughts turn into gray.

To understand converting some picture in black and white, you need to understand one thing 1st, not all the pictures will give you eye catching black and white results. You need to understand what you want to show at the end result of the image. Best way to convert an image to black and white begins with a single raw file. Raw is the digital negative of an image and you will have more channels and lights to work with without destroying clarity and introducing unnatural effects. People, who shoot in JPG mode, should consider shooting in raw.
I am getting emails about how do I convert images to black and white, and about my camera, lens etc. since you guys make an effort to write to me, I decided to write you back here.
Here is the shortcut for you, select your raw file and send it to adobe photoshop(I use CS4), file should be in tif format with 16 bits. Now from your keyboard, type ALT+SHIFT+CONT+B which will open a dialog box of the black and white channel mix. Now in the drop down menu, you can see various presets. You can play around with it till you find something suitable, else you can play with the channels like RED BLUE GREEN etc and check for which mix gives the subject to stand out. Always check on the image curves, shadows, lights, skin tone etc. Make sure you think about how you want to present your image. In this black and white image, I choose to present it as a soft, peaceful composition defusing the lights giving it a soft glow. I have added a tint which you can also add.
A simple picture can appear dramatic in black and white. Its also possible to get carried away with the images. Today’s photographers prefer to make the image eye soothing with high dynamic range of lights and also sharpness. Adding extra contrast and very dark subjects are less popular.
You can’t produce a good black and white over night; it takes practice and patients to perfect your skills. And ofcourse, you need to love black and white photography in 1st place :) good luck.

I do not understand why immigrants who arrive by boat from poor countries are welcomed, and then leave them on the road like this, in my opinion those countries should be helped to improve their living conditions so that no one is forced to risk their lives on them. boats, enriching smugglers, our government bringing so many people from these countries is complicit with human traffickers ... this really makes me angry

“Today I begin to understand what love must be, if it exists. When we are parted, we each feel the lack of the other half of ourselves. We are incomplete like a book in two volumes of which the first has been lost. That is what I imagine love to be: incompleteness in absence.” -Edmond and Jules De Goncourt

I don't understand life at all, and it sucks when it sucks.
Please, Mr. Hunter,
Can you explain how you can kill my family and then boast about it to your friends? Laugh and brag about how much "fun" it is to shoot them? Hang their heads on your walls as 'trophies'?
We don't hurt you or your children or your pets. We don't harm you in any way.
We have no way to protect or defend ourselves from your big fancy high powered rifles with their precision scopes.
So why?
Can you look into my eyes right here and now and tell me why?
Fortunate To Know & Understand “O Fortuna” - IMRAN®
“O Fortuna” from “Carmina Burana” by Carl Orff is not just music—it’s a thunderous invocation of fate’s cruelty and fortune’s volatility. Composed in 1935, when my late father was a toddler, this choral masterpiece opens the cantata with a primal force that has echoed through concert halls, film scores, and—regrettably—too many superficial ads. But beneath the bombast lies a profound meditation on the wheel of fortune, the rise and fall of human destiny, and the raw unpredictability of life.
This particular performance by the Vienna Philharmonic (Wiener Philharmoniker) captures both the grandeur and the anguish embedded in Orff’s vision. The Latin lyrics, drawn from 13th-century medieval poetry, speak of fate as a tyrant—blind, capricious, and ever-turning. If you take a moment to read the translated text, you’ll uncover lines like:
“Fate—monstrous and empty, you whirling wheel…”
These aren’t just dramatic flourishes—they’re existential truths, shouted into the void by monks and minstrels who knew suffering, joy, and the impermanence of both.
There are many reasons why it moves me so much. The music’s relentless rhythm mirrors the pounding of time itself. The choir’s crescendos evoke the rise and fall of empires, fortunes, and lives. The lyrics remind us that no triumph is permanent, and no despair is final.
This piece has been one of my personal favorites for decades—not just for its sonic power, but for its philosophical depth. It’s a greatness-inspiring reminder that art can scream truth louder than any sermon or slogan.
Watch the video in the comment below—and if you’ve never read the full translation, do it. You’ll never hear “O Fortuna” the same way again.
I first heard O Fortuna more than 35 years ago—and it struck a chord so deep, I’ve never stopped resonating with it. Its fierce truth about fate and fortune mirrored my own worldview so precisely, it felt like the music had named something I’d always known. That alignment wasn’t just emotional—it was philosophical, spiritual, and enduring. I consider myself truly ‘Fortunate To Know & Understand “O Fortuna.”’

All members of the public are obliged to go through several rounds of pointless PCR testing, thus increasing the chances of cross-infection. "I don't know if the virus was controlled or not, but the public was definitely controlled", some quipped.
