After a cloudy day at sea in the South Atlantic, the appearance of a setting sun proved to be a harbinger of sunny days we would soon experience.

MacKenzie Brook, Prince Edward Island National Park, Canada.
The sandstone arch at MacKenzie Brook was damaged by the storm Fiona and suffered some cracks. It's uncertain how long it will remain standing.
My entry for this week's Macro Mondays theme of Hot or Cold is actually Hot and Cold as it shows the polar bear and its uncertain future with climate change. The polar bear is a very small novelty ice cube. I had a few of them backed up in the freezer as - like earth's ice caps - they were melting fast! So much so, I had to plan the shot before I took it. A bit of a puddle on my desk was the result but nothing that couldn't be easily mopped up!

I didn't realize I'd forgotten to post this. It's taken from the nearby Kits Beach looking towards English Bay and, as you see by the trees, the world-famous Stanley Park. You can even see the peaks of the Stanley Park Bridge towards the center of the shot. I walked here and took a deep breath to prepare for the first day working from home because of the hideous COVID-19. Everything was strangely foreboding and yet so beautifully calm..... How lovely of Nature to bring a moment of serenity as encouragement to hold on, stay strong, and stay safe.
NS U41 passes through the interlocking at Jasper on the Appalachia District. With this part of the Appy only seeing one or two trains in a typical day, NS recently filed to discontinue signaling on the line. Although it's uncertain whether that application will be approved, regardless it symbolizes the decline of what was once a busy main bustling with coal traffic.

Exhibition - Between the Lines
Japanese artist Chiharu Shiota was the sensation of the 56th Venice Biennale in 2015. Shiota’s first solo exhibition in the Netherlands offers a retrospective overview of her oeuvre.
This installation, (Uncertain Journey), made to measure for the Noordbrabants Museum, is the highlight of the exhibition.
“Uncertain Journey” is the three-dimensional manifestation of Chiharu Shiota’s explorations into and understandings of life as "a journey without a journey" and the ways in which we connect and engage with the individuals and experiences we meet on our path.

The town of Darwin, CA contains an outdoor sculpture garden containing works by residents in the town. I am uncertain about the artist and about the expression on the three foot tall head stuck in the ground.

Its 8am. There is a boy on the boat when people arrive to go the working place. Meanwhile he starts the machine and take out the water from the bottom of the boat. This is how the times going on the whole day. Sometimes he has been seen like the way he look in here.
I feel the pain of monotonous life on his eyes.
This particular juvenile was very reluctant to leave and I have a feeling that he was having an issue this the one foot. I know that the rest like this remain in this position as long as they don’t feel threatened, but something just didn’t seem right, and I didn’t try to get any closer. This is a juvenile Tri-colored Heron perched on an old snag on Horsepen Bayou.
