Uncertain is a township in Texas by Caddo Lake. The town once had a road sign that reads "Uncertain City Limit, Pop 194". Many of those in that 194 population still have their decedents living to the full playfulness by the Lake and continuing their legend.
Iowa Pacific 103, still dressed in Wisconsin & Southern colors, rests on a hidden branch in an industrial park in Bensenville, IL, on this very cold early Spring day. Built as Union Pacific 957 in 1955, this unit went to Amtrak (430) and Alaska Railroad (2401) before landing at Wisconsin & Southern, where it's worn numbers 10A, 522, and 103. When WSOR disposed of their E-Units, it was picked up by Iowa Pacific. At some point in 2018, this unit was moved to another IPH property, the Grenada Railway in Batesville, Mississippi, where sister unit SLRG 515 resides. With the collapse of Iowa Pacific in early 2020, everything owned by Iowa Pacific is up for sale, and the future of this unit is uncertain.
NS 203, led by ES44AC 8023, makes its way west on the Lurgan only to strike a decent size tree 13 miles south of Hagerstown, bust the front walkway and windshield, and be put out of service.

'Hundreds of elephants and tens of lions in Zimbabwe will be moved by the country’s wildlife agency as part of a major operation to save the animals from a devastating drought.
More than 200 elephants have died over the last two months due to a lack of water at the country’s main conservation zones in Mana Pools and Hwange National Park.
Residents of Jutshume village, near to Hwange National Park, shared a video of an elephant calf that had fallen into a well last month after desperately searching for water. Residents managed to rescue the calf, which later fled into the wild, but believe its leg was broken in the process.
A second adult elephant, which had collapsed near to the village, was fed by residents until it was strong enough to walk.
Animals near to Jutshume village, by the border with Botswana, used to drink from the Maitengwe dam, known locally as Mabhongane or “roaring lion”. But the wall of the dam collapsed in 2005 and has not been repaired, leaving stretches of barren land.
The country’s wildlife agency plans to move 600 elephants, two prides of lion, a pack of wild dogs, 50 buffalo, 40 giraffes and 2,000 impala, according to reports by Agence France-Presse.'

In the Kruger National Park we had excellent rain the past week and there is no crisis in our part of the world, yet..
I had caught a beautiful sunset on the coast this Fall which I posted a color photo. This was when the sun was a little higher and really cloudy and I was not sure how the sunset was going to turn out yet.
A veces la montaña, el bosque, parece que nos den la bienvenida, pero en otras ocasiones se muestran salvajes, hostiles, inciertos.

But certainly... anyone? anyone? finish that lyric!
Let's see who knows their late 80s music. First one to finish the lyric and name the song in the comments gets, well, nothing but an immensely uplifting feeling of satisfaction.
A shot of the interesting lighting in the Westfriedhof underground station in Munich. Processed to dim the white lights and emphasize the blue lighting for a more sci-fi look (though it looks kinda sci-fi even in its unprocessed state). Other than dimming highlights and upping contrast I have not boosted saturation or vibrancy - the colors are very bright au naturel.
A little departure from my typical landscape shots. Had a later morning flight back to US, so I decided to get up early and get a shot of this commonly photographed Munich location before all the people appeared. As I was shooting I decided it might look more interesting with a blurred person, so I put the timer on and walked in to the frame with a 3s exposure. It gave a suitably ambiguous shadow which I liked. I wished I'd had time to do a little more experimentation but as it was a Saturday morning, the trains were running only every 20 minutes, so I only had time to try about 4-5 shots before I had to pack up my stuff and get my train to the airport.
The red-orange color of the foreground lights is surprisingly hard to get right. I find the camera and/or my laptop screen is rendering it too reddish, and Lightroom jpeg export exacerbates it even further, so I adjusted to move it slightly to the orange spectrum to match what I remembered.
