Not knowing what lies ahead is the worst part of this confinement; all I can do is trust in Providence and hope for the best. This photo is from my archive of travel photos, this time of Pacific Beach in Washington state.

Grant's Gazelle (male)

As western Canadians deal with yet another severe season of forest fires, I thought I'd post an image from the Samburu region of Kenya. I spent a few days in the region last summer and the area is quickly transitioning into a desert as a result of an extensive long-term drought.

Gazelles are reasonably common in certain African regions but often overlooked animals by photographers. They are truly beautiful animals and key to the food chains of the big cats. Sadly, I can't help but wonder about the future of wildlife in a region that has become as dry as Samburu.

Castelnuovo Val di Cecina is a small village of the Metalliferous Hills, located on the furthest reaches of the Maremma open to the Tyrrhenian Sea and the island of Elba. The origins are uncertain, but certainly go back at the age Lombard (VII sec.), When this people drew up new avenues for research of mineral building a series of fortresses sighting and defense along the path that wound from Volterra Massa Marittima.

Loch Ard in a piss yellow fog

Gentle waves roll in the bay, intersecting and dispersing each other until all momentum is lost.

Southern's 9.32am service to Redhill (2A19) departs from Tonbridge in rather heavy fog.

Presumably it made it to the other end.

Given an artistic twist - comments off, thanks.

Oberschleißheim Regatta Course, built for Olympia Games 1972. Since 2013 there are ongoing discussions what to do with this construction that is apparently falling apart. Some want to demolish it, some want to declare it to historical monument, its fate is thus still open... I love this place so I would be very unhappy if it is demolished but no one asks me...

May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing views.

Not big enough to call my woodland a forest. Mind you I'm uncertain of the difference to be honest. Anyway I never feel alone in there yet strive to be alone - if that makes sense. Jonathan keeps the dogs away and I immerse myself into my very own wonderland. I loved this Bluebell scene and imagined how it could come alive when no one was about so I created this for myself... A montage using my own Bluebell photo and a picture from a story book I used to read to my children by Molly Berry who illustrated her own books...Courtesy of permission to use this copyright picture obtained from the Medici Society this very morning which was so kind of them..... "I am scared." she said.

"We are all scared." he replied.

"Yes, but doesn't that make it even more real?"

An image given a second life in these travel-restricted times.

It was taken in 2014 near Malcoff, Derbyshire and is a straight repost of the original upload. Eccles Pike can be seen in the distance.

Processed for effect I figured the title spoke for itself. Looks best full-screen.

Queuing for the supermarket, people were there an hour before it opened. They let 30 people in at a time, ten minutes apart. Shelves were far from full, many were empty.

Where the photo was taken from, it was about 40 mins after the store opened that this part of the queue would get in.

'Your Uncertain Shadow' is an artwork in the exhibition "In Real Life" by Olafur Eliasson at Tate Modern. It has five coloured spotlights arranged in a row on the floor, directed at a white wall. Visitors' shadows are projected as they move around the room, varying in size and colour intensity.

Photo taken at Rosendals Trädgård, a garden open to the public situated on Djurgården in the central part of Stockholm, Sweden.

In Sweden, tulips usually bloom in the spring. When they came to the country is uncertain, but documentation credits Olof Rudbeck the Elders with bringing over the seeds and bulbs after a trip to Holland. In 1685 he had 38 different kinds of tulips in his botanical garden in Uppsala, and the bulbs have spread since those day to many locations around the country.
