Pissed off by the fact that GNOME has become broken. Fallback mode removed, a new extension called Classic replaced it. Due to the tight integration with Mutter, it is impossible to use compiz as window manager when running gnome shell without broken the desktop...
KDE 4.10, kwin has all the compiz eye candies I love (built-in). It exceeds my expectation. My impression about KDE stayed at v 3.1, it is now completely changed.

Mi tarjeta de video es SiS así que no puedo disfrutar de los efectos propios de compiz-fusion, ni la ejecucion de AWN que ya esta instalado.....

Am instalat acum cateva zile Ubuntu 8.04 si ma tot joc cu setarile. Imi place, pare mai rapid decat XP-ul si mi-a detectat tot de pe sistem fara sa comenteze (inclusiv placa tv) si hard-ul sata pe care kit-ul de XP nu-l vede fara driver de pe disketa.
Nu am gasit scule potrivite pt photoediting care sa-mi placa. Din pacate Photoshop si Lightroom nu au versiuni Linux si rulate cu Wine merg de parca stau.
Ceva sugestii?
I made this using the GIMP Image Editor in Ubuntu 8.04.
Its not the best I can do, but its my first actual attempt at using GIMP. While somewhat similar to Photoshop, they aren't as similar as many people think.

Update on 2/22/10: Alas, the photo above needs to be placed into a museum, as dessert wizard Deanie Fox -- who was most likely responsible for the design of the above dessert -- has left Ubuntu and has started working at Manresa in the South Bay (coverage at Eater SF).
i've been using Ubuntu for a few days now, only a few problems left to work out (dual monitors, forward/backward buttons on mouse). But, other than that, it's been great!
