A very nice monospaced typeface, very well suited for use in Terminal applications.

3 years of Ubuntu (and counting) and there's nothing making me going back to Microsoft Windows...

You guessed it all my systems run Ubuntu. I have even got my wife to use it. Well it has been that for at least 3 years and before that I ran gentoo and debian.

It is possible to run this program on Linux platforms (in my case UBUNTU), using the program WINE (Wine Is No Emulator).

I decided to go with Ubuntu Studio on the more powerful of the two workstations, in hopes that I can learn a lot more about the open source audio and video production alternatives to software I'm familiar with on my Mac and Windows 7 machines. So far, JackRack + Patchage + Ardour looks like it might be a clear winner that could maybe compete with GarageBand. I went for the high-performance, low-latency kernel option during install.

I'm also secretly hoping if I learn this well enough, I can teach my dad and convince him away from his Windows software for his own music production. We'll see about that.

I love impress. Of all of the OOo applications, this is the one I end up using the most. It has every single major feature PowerPoint has (well, the sound department could use some work), and I have the Presenter Console/Presentation Minimizer extensions pre-installed.
