Photograph taken at an altitude of One hundred and one metres at 12:35pm on Wednesday December 22nd 2021 off Church Lane overlooking Bay Pond in the heart of Godstone, a village and civil parish in the county of Surrey in England.

Each season offers a perspective and beauty and in Winter, Mother Nature always delivers in colour and the starkness of bare trees and branches as they change along the shorelines of lakes and rivers. Soon Spring will awaken new life and growth, but for now there is such a wonderful proliferation of regrowth and regeneration, a treat on the eyes.

I was originally enrolled into the GETTY IMAGES collection as a contributor on April 9th 2012, and when links with FLICKR were terminated in March 2014, I was retained and fortunate enough to be signed up via a second contract, both of which have proved to be successful with sales of my photographs all over the world now handled exclusively by them.

On November 12th 2015 GETTY IMAGES unveiled plans for a new stills upload platform called ESP (Enterprise Submission Platform), to replace the existing 'Moment portal', and on November 13th I was invited to Beta test the new system prior to it being officially rolled out in December. ESP went live on Tuesday December 15th 2015 and has smoothed out the upload process considerably.

These days I take a far more leisurely approach to my photographic exploits, and having moved from professional Nikon equipment to consumer bodies and lenses, I travel light less constraints and more emphasis on the pure capture of the beauty that I see, more akin to my original persuits and goals some five decades previously when starting out. I would like to say a huge and heartfelt 'THANK YOU' to GETTY IMAGES, and the 22.464+ Million visitors to my FLICKR site.

This Three seconds long exposure was taken at 04:49am on Monday 22nd May 2016 off 1st Street and Bevan Avenue, standing below the Bevan Avenue Fishing Pier in beautiful Sidney by the sea on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada.

The Bevan Avenue fishing pier is one of the main focal points in this small but beautiful town where some of my family are so lucky to reside. I am never happier than when walking around and capturing the beauty and charm of this most special of locations. Work commenced on the pier in 1993 withn Phase one, a 90 metre straight section being completed in 1996. A year later the 110 metre Phase two section was completed.

Photograph taken at an altitude of Thirty four metres at 13:39pm on Friday 9th November 2018, off Bjoovegur 1 at Skógafoss waterfall situated on the Skógá River in the South of Iceland at the cliffs of what once was the coastline. The coastline has now receded a distance of approximately five kilometres from Skógar.

The waterfall is one of Icelands largest, with a width of fifteen metres and a drop of around two hundred feet.Icelandic legend tells of the first Viking settler in the area, Þrasi Þórólfsson, who buried a treasure in a cave behind the waterfall. Locals salvaged only a ring from the chest of treasure which is now located in the Skógar museum.

Photograph taken at 10:27am on Tuesday 10th September 2013 at an altitude of One hundred and fifty metres, from the wooden bridge overlooking Bracklinn Falls, just East of Callander in the Trossachs, Scotland. Flanked by the Allt a Choire Bhric, the River Keltie flows over the rocks which were formed around 410 million years ago. The falls consist of five cataracts which range from around 6ft to about 25ft.

In 2004, a steel bridge over the falls was washed away by floods. In October 2010 a new, 20-tonne wood-and-copper one, spanning 20m across a very deep gorge, was hauled into place by hand because its location made it impossible to use a crane. In July 2011 this new bridge was awarded at the International Footbridge Awards

A pair of nesting Red Robins are keeping me company in the garden, dive bombing the cats and sing at the tops of their lungs each day, which is always a pleasure to hear. Here we see the Male European robin (Erithacus rubecula), also known as the Robin, or Robin redbreast, a small insectivorous passerine bird, more specifically a Chat.

The worldwide outbreak of COVID-19 Coronavirus has us here in the UK on lockdown since last nights 20.30hrs message to the people from our Prime Minister. So today a few shots from the back garden that will be my sanctuary for as long as it takes. Keep safe and well everyone.

This photograph was taken in the magic of The Golden Hour around Sunrise, (Sunrise was at precisely 07:39am), at an altitude of Ten metres, at 07:10am on Thursday January 28th 2016 off Botany Road and Marine Drive, on the sandy shoreline of Botany Bay in Broadstairs, Kent, England.

I set off at 05:00am on a clear morning, the moon and the stars out to dazzle in temperatures around five degrees, on a pleanst hour and half long journey to enjoy a lovely sunrise. The seven bays in Broadstairs consist of: (From south to north) Dumpton Gap, Louisa Bay, Viking Bay, Stone Bay, Joss Bay, Kingsgate Bay and Botany Bay.

Thanet offshore windfarm was officially opened on September 23rd 2010 and was for a time, the largest offshore windfarm project in the world. The eight lines of turbines, one hundred of them in total, run north-west to south-east, covering a total area of 35sq km off Foreness Point near Margate. Each turbine is 115 metres high with 44-metre blades, and the project cost between £780-900million

Photograph taken at an altitude of Thirty seven metres at 12:12pm on Friday 17th August 2018, off Place Joffre and Avenue Emile Acollas, in the grounds of Champ de Mars, looking towards the Tour Eiffel located at Champ de Mars, 5 Avenue Anatole France, 75007 in Paris, France.

The Champ de Mars (Field of Mars), is a large park located in the Seventh arrondissement between the Eiffel Tower to the Northwest and Ecole Militaire to the Southeast. It was named after Campus Martius in Rome, Italy. It originally measured 42 hectares, but was reduced by architect Jeran-Camille Fromige for the 1890 World Exposition.

The Eiffel Tower was originally designed by Gustave Eiffel and constructed between 1887-1889 as the entrance to the worlds fair in that year. It is now the worlds most visited paid monument, standing 324 metres tall (1,063ft) with three floors and eight lifts and was the tallest building in the world from 1889 to 1930.

These days I take a far more leisurely approach to my photographic exploits, a Nikon D850 FX Pro body as my trusted companion, I travel light with less constraints and more emphasis on the pure capture of the beauty that I see, more akin to my original persuits and goals some five decades previously when starting out. I would like to say a huge and heartfelt 'THANK YOU' to GETTY IMAGES, and the 27.244+ Million visitors to my FLICKR site.

Photograph taken at an altitude of Two hundred and Forty two metres at 13:34pm on Sunday 17th May 2015 off the A95 just before Avielochan (Scottish Gaelic: Aghaidh an Lochain), a hamlet in the historical county of Inverness-shire, in Strathspey, Central Norther Scotland. This gorgeous area is within the Cairngorms National Park. I drove past a section of private land that caught my attention.

A quick U turn and a hop over the boundary fence had me beside a beautiful pool of water surrounded by woodlands. In Scottish law there is no rule for tresspas, so no angry farmers with Shotguns to concern me here (unlike England where I have stared up the double barrel of one on one occasion.

Photograph taken in the Golden hour around sunrise at 06:02am on Saturday March 31st 2018 off Grand Parade from room 211 on the second floor of the Cavendish Hotel in Eastbourne, East Sussex, England.

For this shot I had to stand on the window sill ledge in my hotel room and remove the lens hood petal to sneak the barrel of the lens through a tiny aperture that the tilting window allowed.

Saint George's Cross, also called Cross of Saint George, from the Late Middle Ages became associated with Saint George, the military saint, often depicted as a crusader. Rising to the position "national saint" of England after the English reformation, his flag came to be identified as the national flag of England.

Photograph taken at an altitude of Nine metres, at 11:28am on Tuesday 2nd February 2016, off Birdcage Walk and Horse Guards Road in the grounds of St James's Park, with Westminster abbey in the distance. An 11:28am Southeastern network train whisked me up to Charing Cross Station, where I grabed a Starbucks Vanilla Latte before taking a stroll around the park.

Situated in the City Of Westminster, the Park spans twenty three Hectares and is the oldest of the Royal Parks of London, with a variety of visiting and nesting birds that include Ducks, Canada Geese and Pelicans.

I was originally enrolled as a SHUTTERSTOCK contributor on January 28th 2019. Shutterstock is an American stock photography company with headquarters in New York City, founded in 2003 by Photographer Jon Oringer. With a library in excess of 200 million royalty free stock photographs, I am delighted, and most grateful to have been accepted into the fold.

Having been passionate about photography since the age of seven years old, with a box brownie and black and white 120 roll film, these days I take a far more leisurely approach to my photographic exploits, a Nikon D850 FX Pro body as my trusted companion, I travel light with less constraints and more emphasis on the pure capture of the beauty that I see, more akin to my original persuits and goals some five decades previously when starting out. I would like to say a huge and heartfelt 'THANK YOU' to GETTY IMAGES, SHUTTERSTOCK, and the 28.711+ Million visitors to my FLICKR site.

The Heilan Coo, (Scottish Gaelic: Bò Ghàidhealach), or Highland cattle is one of Britains oldest and most distinctive breeds. Also referred to as kyloe, they are a Scottish breed of cattle with long horns and long wavy coats which are coloured black, brindled, red, yellow or dun.

This photograph was taken in the magic of The Golden Hour around Sunrise (Sunrise was at precisely 07:56am), at an altitude of One metre, at 07:39am on Sunday January 11th 2015 off Botany Road and Marine Drive, on the sandy shoreline of Botany Bay in Broadstairs, Kent, England.

I set off at 05:30am on a very chilly morning, around two degrees, and a bracing wind that pounded flesh and bones, but well worth the one and a half hour journey there to enjoy a lovely sunrise. The seven bays in Broadstairs consist of: (From south to north) Dumpton Gap, Louisa Bay, Viking Bay, Stone Bay, Joss Bay, Kingsgate Bay and Botany Bay.

It's Christmas eve, Friday December 24th 2021 and the weather is a sombre grey with a touch of rain in the air, much the norm for Christmas in the UK for as many years as I can remember.

It's been a second year of sadness and worry for the world thanks to the arrival and persistent mutations of the Covid-19 pandemic, and here we are a year after a lockdown Christmas about to face even tougher restrictions to our liberty once Christmas day and family gatherings have helped spread the disease and kill more of us.

We as photographers have had to forego the simple pleasures we once took for granted here in the interests of health and safety, and like many I am itching to travel again and broaden my horizons, be at one with Mother Nature and to capture her beauty once more. Strange times indeed and I can only hope that everyone has a wonderful Christmas time, stays safe and emerges well and ready for hopefully a better, brighter, safer 2022.

Thank you to everyone who has visited my site this last year, to Getty Images for selling my photographs around the world and to everyone who's mammoth efforts in many professions have helped us to stay safe and try to beat this awful pandemic.

Photograph taken at an altitude of One hundred and three metres at 12:29pm on Wednesday December 22nd 2021 off Church Lane close to Bay Pond in the heart of Godstone, a village and civil parish in the county of Surrey in England.

Local school children had hand painted Christmas decorations and placed them in the trees and on fence panels and hanging branches in the lane leading beside Bay Pond and onwards to St Nicholas Church and St Mary's Chapel. A lovely festive sight on a cold winter afternoon in Godstone.

A location that I so love visiting, bustling with energy and vibrancy, a myriad of creeds and colours, tongues and accents, a clash of cultures, cuisines and styles, just a marvellous place for any photographer to discover and enjoy.

Here, I can lose myself to the visual styles, immerse myself in a spot of people watching in the park, grab a local brew and sit by the Ferry dock amidst the plethora of different spoken languages, and enjoy the relaxed and friendly banter in the glorious market place. So a short collection of shots from my latest visit just to scratch the surface.

Photograph taken at an altitude of One hundred and one metres at 10:10am on Sunday 24th May 2015 at the Fairy Pools the Fairy Pools near Glenbrittle at the foot of the Black Cuillin Mountains on the Isle of Skye in the Highlands of Scotland

The Cuillin (An Cuilthionn or An Cuiltheann) is a range of rocky mountains located on the Isle of Skye. The true Cuillin is also known as the Black Cuillin to distinguish it from the Red Cuilin (na Beanntan Dearga, known locally as Red Hills) across Glen Sligachan. The Red Cuilin hills are lower and, being less rocky, have fewer scrambles or climbs.

Photograph taken at an altitude of One hundred and thirty three metres at 15:14pm on Monday 18 May 2015, beside the River Shiel just past the Eas-nan-Arm waterfall in Glen Shiel off the A87, in Scotland.

At the point where the River Shiel plunges down the Eas-nan-Arm waterfall in Glen Shiel, a battle was fought in 1719 as one of the early skirmishes of the Jacobite cause against the Government. A few years later, a Nilitary road was constructed through the glen to link the barracks at Glenelg with Fort Augustus, and the same point was chosen as a crossing point of the river.

(ESP went live on Tuesday December 15th 2015 and has smoothed out the upload process considerably).

With visits now in excess of 18.512 Million to my FLICKR site, used primarily these days as a fun platform to reach friends and family as I have now sold my professional gear and now take a more leisurely approach to my photographic exploits, I would like to say a huge and heartfelt 'THANK YOU' to FLICKR, GETTY IMAGES and everyone who drops by.

These days I take a far more leisurely approach to my photographic exploits, a Nikon D850 FX Pro body as my trusted companion, I travel light with less constraints and more emphasis on the pure capture of the beauty that I see, more akin to my original persuits and goals some five decades previously when starting out. I would like to say a huge and heartfelt 'THANK YOU' to GETTY IMAGES, and the 25.130+ Million visitors to my FLICKR site.

This photograph was taken an altitude of Four hundred and ten metres, at 16:16pm on Wednesday May 11th 2016 past Liard River Hot springs at Mile 475 on the Alaska Highway 97, heading towards Smith River Fort Halkett Protected area in British Columbia, Canada.

This is a baby American Black Bear (Ursus Americanus), a medium sized bear native to North America, and found in abundance in the Yukon territory and Alaska. Black bears have a small tail, up to nine inches long foot length and males can wigh up to 250kgs. On my trip I encountered several bears and, although it is strongly reccommended that you do not leave your vehicle to photograph these beautiful wild animals, needless to say, with care and caution I did just that to capture my photographs.

Photograph taken at an altitude of Thirty seven metres at 12:14pm on Wednesday 22nd August 2018, off Place Joffre and Avenue Emile Acollas, in the grounds of Champ de Mars, looking towards the Tour Eiffel located at Champ de Mars, 5 Avenue Anatole France, 75007 in Paris, France.
