Photograph taken at an altitude of Nine metres, in the magic of the Golden hour around sunrise at 05:41am, (sunrise was at precisely 06.15am) on Saturday 6th September 2014 off the Patricia Bay Highway 17, on Lochside Drive close to Frost Avenue and the Lochside Waterfront Park, in beautiful Sidney by the sea on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada.

Here, we are looking over towards Mt Baker in Washington State, USA from beautiful Sidney by the sea on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. Also known as Koma Kulshan, (pronounced kō-ō’mah’ kool-shän’),she is an active glaciated andesitic stratovolcano in the Cascade Volcanic Arc and the North Cascades of Washington State in the United States, standing 3,286 metres tall and was first ascended in 1868, her last eruption recorded in 1880.

The name Mount Baker first appeared in print in Captain Vancouver’s 1798 narrative of his voyage around Vancouver Island. Legend has it that his third-lieutenant, Joseph Baker, was the first to spot the mountain while they sailed into Dungeness Bay on April 30th, 1792. Also known by the Lummi as Kwud-Shad, and Koba (meaning 'high mountain always covered with snow', was the Skagit name.

Every morning around sunrise, the gathering of Canada Geese resting upon the water, take to the wing and fly East to West across the Bay. Each squadron of V formation Geese is known as a Skein, and the flight is reversed around the same time each eavening around sunset. An absolute joy to behold.

I was originally enrolled into the GETTY IMAGES collection as a contributor on April 9th 2012, and when links with FLICKR were terminated in March 2014, I was retained and fortunate enough to be signed up via a second contract, both of which have proved to be successful with sales of my photographs all over the world now handled exclusively by them.

On November 12th 2015 GETTY IMAGES unveiled plans for a new stills upload platform called ESP (Enterprise Submission Platform), to replace the existing 'Moment portal', and on November 13th I was invited to Beta test the new system prior to it being officially rolled out in December. ESP went live on Tuesday December 15th 2015 and has smoothed out the upload process considerably.

These days I take a far more leisurely approach to my photographic exploits, and having moved from professional Nikon equipment to consumer bodies and lenses, I travel light less constraints and more emphasis on the pure capture of the beauty that I see, more akin to my original persuits and goals some five decades previously when starting out. I would like to say a huge and heartfelt 'THANK YOU' to GETTY IMAGES, and the 21.416+ Million visitors to my FLICKR site.

I set off at 05:00am on a clear morning, the moon and the stars out to dazzle in temperatures around five degrees, on a pleanst hour and half long journey to enjoy a lovely sunrise. The seven bays in Broadstairs consist of: (From south to north) Dumpton Gap, Louisa Bay, Viking Bay, Stone Bay, Joss Bay, Kingsgate Bay and Botany Bay.

Photograph taken at an altitude of Seven metres, in the magic of the Golden hour around sunrise, (Sunrise was at precisely 06:58am), at 07:09am on Sunday 21st September 2014 off 1st Street between Beacon Avenue and Bevan Avenue, above the shoreline in beautiful Sidney by the sea on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada.

Here, we are looking over towards Mt Baker in Washington State, USA from beautiful Sidney by the sea on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. Also known as Koma Kulshan, (pronounced koo’mah’ kool-shän’),she is an active glaciated andesitic stratovolcano in the Cascade Volcanic Arc and the North Cascades of Washington State in the United States, standing 3,286 metres tall and was first ascended in 1868, her last eruption recorded in 1880.

Photograph taken at an altitude of Seventy two metres at 09:06am on Saturday 24th June 2017 off the A20 Sidcup bypass and Old Perry Street, in the beautiful open grounds of Scadbury Park Nature Reserve in Chiselhurst in the London Borough of Bromley.

The Park was first mentioned back in the thirteenth century when it was owned by the de Scathebury family. It is also a Site of Metropolitan Importance for Nature Conservation, with over 300 acres of land, and is part of an extensive wildlife corridor together with Petts Wood and the Jubilee Country Park.

These horses are owned and loved by the family who reside in the big house off the main footpath, and they always respond to the lure of a bag of carrots and apples, as on this occasion.

This is from a series of Jupiter images taken on the nights of 27-28 and 28-29 December. It is a derotated stack of two sets of three-minute RGB data (65 seconds per colour) with Io and its shadow processed from one three-minute stack of images rather than both, to avoid the smearing of moons and shadows caused by the derotation technique. The Great Red Spot is also prominent on the lower right of the image. The image is from around 01:30 UT/GMT on 29 December.

Photograph taken at an altitude of Fourteen metres at 09:59am on Saturday 10th November 2018, off sæbraut 41 and Ingolfsgarour where it crosses the Sculpture and shore walk beside the harbour area of Reykjavik.

The partnership sculpture by Icelandic artist Pétur Bjarnason, was given to Reykjavik and Iceland by the former U.S Ambassador to Iceland (during the George Bush Senior administration), Charles E. Cobb Jr., and his wife, Sue Cobb in 1991 to commemorate at that point some fifty years of good diplomatic relations between Iceland and the United states of America. The location of the sculpture is also significant in that it is positioned a few hundred meters from the Höfði House where Ronald Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev had their meeting, a meeting that allegedly ended the cold war.

Photograph taken at an altitude of Eight metres, in the magic of The Golden Hour around sunrise at 06:40am on Sunday 21st September 2014 off 1st Street between Beacon Avenue and Bevan Avenue, looking towards the Bevan Avenue Fishing Pier in beautiful Sidney by the sea on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. Work commenced on the pier in 1993 withn Phase one, a 90 metre straight section being completed in 1996. A year later the 110 metre Phase two section was completed.

This Thirteen seconds long exposure was taken in almost complete darkness, at an altitude of Seven metres, prior to the Golden hour around sunrise, (Sunrise was at precisely 06:58am), at 05:41am on Sunday 21st September 2014 from the end of the Bevan Avenue fishing pier, in Sidney by the sea on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada.

I would like to say a huge and heartfelt 'THANK YOU' to GETTY IMAGES, and the 21.006+ Million visitors to my FLICKR site.

The Southern Bald Eagle (Haliaeetus Leucocephalus), derives it's name from the Greek for 'Sea eagle', and the 'bald' denotation actually derives from an older meaning of 'white headed'.Bald Eagles can be up to forty inches in length with a wingspan up to seven and a half feet and can wigh up to 6.3kgs. A Southeastern Network train from Bexleyheath to London Bridge Station at 06:01am this morning, and despite the BBC weather centre assuring me of heavy cloud and light rain, Londoners were treated to a rather spectacular and beautiful sunrise this morning.

Photograph taken at an altitude of Fourteen metres at 07:44am on Thursday 22nd October 2015, off Bankside on London's South Bank, from the first intersection on The Millennium Bridge, officially known as the London Millennium Footbridge, which was designed by Norman Foster, and was constructed between 1996 and 2000.

It is a steel suspension bridge for pedestrians crossing the River Thames in London, linking Bankside with the City of London. I affectionately call the Bridge, 'The wibbly-wobbly bridge', after somewhat embarassing teething problems which had the old girl flexing in her moorings when first opened. This view looks past Southwark Bridge towards London Bridge and HMS Belfast moored on the River Thames.
