My chocolate point Siamese is rarely interested in leaving the house unless I have a wander up the garden, but she was very keen to get out and explore the snow.
I took this photo, but two steps later she miaowed to be picked up, and has never shown any interest in snow since!

A big yawn was not enough to shake off the sleepy feeling that engulfed her. The whole day was before her and she didn't know how to start tackling it. It was the usual morning routine, rushing through the house, showering, changing, combing messy hairs and then bouncing out the door in order to rush through the on going traffic and catch the bus.
What she enjoyed about the bus ride was sipping her coffee from the thermos she prepared and messaging her friend to see if he was still snoring or probably already awake but still in bed. She would always send a random meme as a conversation starter, unless something odd happened in her morning. It was rarely a hello between them, their conversation always picked up from wherever it ended.
The more she sipped her coffee and chatted with him, the more her entire surroundings shifted. The bus turned into a rooftop, her chair into something magical, in this case, why not a teapot? How comfortable would it be to roll into a tea pot and curl like a cat to snooze?
Her coffee turned into the most amazing cold glittering starry brew ever and as she looked up, there he was, floating on his chair that was levitating innocently by a single blue balloon. Nothing surprising, she grinned, reached out for a little cheers because any drink taste better with a friendly touch.
P.S. Honestly, the Cosmic coffee by Tarte really reminded me of Unir because he is just all stars. I also shared coffee with my favorite people because I thought, why not? ;)
I used a few Knick Knacks here, the leaned in gate, the pot with berries sticking out, the shiny plate seen, the ladder on the side and the magic dust cloud!
Also big thank you to Lya and Adam for the lovely little tea pot couch that is my favorite chill out spot now!
Unir took his version so look out for it in his amazing stream, he is ultra talented!

...... unless you shop here of course. This was taken in Stockholm last Autumn although that now seems like a thousand years ago. Having said that, Stockholm is apparently still quite busy with the Swedish Government having taken a more liberal approach to the current crisis (EM120612_AP)

Unless they're after pollen, the great variety of insects that visit Hemp Agrimony will have a hard time foraging if they do at all. Once you've looked carefully at the individual Agrimony florets you'll understand a critter has to have a pretty long tongue to access the Sweet Place. Think Butterfly, for example. Other insects, too. But also pretty Sweat Bee, Lasioglossum calceatum. I've added the inset to give an idea of its proboscis and also its face-front with that characteristic yellow clypeus.

...unless you live in the UK it's difficult to believe how chaotic life is right now. I have some petrol and as I don't actually need to travel much I am staying put.....but I don't know how much longer people will manage. The ultimate First-World problem I guess. Meanwhile, it's back to some glorious archives, here a stunning evening on Side Pike...and I notice how pyramidal the shadow of Pike O'Blisco looks. Clear air and a dusting of snow, what's not to like....and It'll still be there whenever I can travel.
This species which is often referred to as "Fish Ducks" is the most widespread and abundant merganser in North America. Being one of the more social waterfowl species they do accept other species of diving ducks within their own flocks.
Their breeding territory ranges from Alaska to Newfoundland where they can be found using man-made nesting boxes or nest on the ground. A nest can be found to contain a clutch of anywhere from 6 - 17 eggs. They tend to be a quiet breed unless disturbed or during their courtship period.
This hen is getting lots of attention from 4 drakes that are certainly letting her know their intentions with their erect tails.

I had heard of flannel flowers (Genus Actinotus) but seeing this flower for the first time through my macro lens still took my breath away. Most flannel flowers are endemic to Australia. While not considered threatened, they are not often seen unless specific conditions are met such as fire and smoke, followed by rainfall. This flower was among the first plants to grow after a recent bushfire.\https://florabase.dbca.wa.gov.au/browse/profile/6208
