I was curious about those letters or graffitis that we can see in some buildings around Salamanca University. They say that during the 16th and 17th century there was a kind of fiesta (party) that included a bullfight after the final exams. Those who passed their graduation used a special ink made with the blood of the bull to write their names or a "V" (from Victory) on the university's walls.

University Apartments in Chicago (1961). They were designed by I. M. Pei in 1961. In the late 1950s, Hyde Park began a socioeconomic decline. It was rumored that the University of Chicago intended to seek a new home. In response, the city stepped in and demolished a row of taverns to make way for a new work by a renowned architect. To this day, the University of Chicago is famous for its lack of drinking establishments.
Fireworks display on the Highfield campus, at the University of Southampton. For most shots, I was standing on a ladder and using a 3m high Manfrotto tripod. Used a flashlight to "paint" the crowd in.
Oxford's University Museum comprises a fine natural history collection housed in a stunning piece of Victorian gothic architecture. Built between 1855-60, the main facade gives little indication of the extraordinary interior, centred on a main hall spanned by a dramatic glazed roof supported by cast iron columns. The juxtaposition of all this Victoriana and the massive skeletons of dinosaurs and other large beasts makes a visit here an unforgettable experience.
The rich collections housed in such an ornate building bring to mind the renowned Natural History Museum in London, and there is likewise much fine decorative detail to enjoy in the building's capitals and other carved details.
At the back of the main hall a door leads through to the Pitt-River's Museum, a darkened room crammed full of display cases containing a wealth of artefacts from distant cultures across the globe.
