This exhibition — “Republish: Typography As...” is an effort of the team behind Republish to see the typefaces in action, while treading the border of art & design. A variety of notions are investigated through the artworks, such as
[1] the juxtaposition of heritage and contemporary,
[2] the physical materialism of type, and
[3] the collective memory of cultural heritage and artifacts.

Cable Thief is the new typeface from Studio Disjointed that forms as part of an obsession with typography and the overhead power cables found across the rail network.
In the UK the theft of cable from rail networks has become a widespread problem that costs the network financially but also impacts directly on those using the service for travel.
The typeface is an experiment that looks at aspects of itself that are missing, the fragility of the font is held together by cables and pulleys. Without these the typeface would collapse.

Pablo Alfieri is a graphic designer and illustrator from Buenos Aires, Argentina. After working as an art director in local studios, he decided to create his own place, "Playful", where he dedicates all his passion for graphic design, illustration and typography. Characterized by a constant search of simplicity in geometrics shapes, a mix between chaos and order of structures, a visual impact of colors, dinamism and finally, a strong relationship between analogous and digital.
