Macro Mondays :: typography :: HMM Everyone!
Funny how the first four letter means mistake! I've just realised that I have used these stamps more times as a prop than it's actual use.
I have been wanting to create some elegant typography for a while. This reminds me of Bodoni.
No SNOT used here - only offset. Examples of no infill, recessed infill and raised infill. I like the recessed H best. Unfortunately I didn't have lime tiles and had to use medium lime :O)
Breakdown - this is a use of the technique I'm nicknaming 'groovy jumper'!
Curved letters will probably be impossible, certainly without SNOT. So my next attempt will be writing FILTH! But need more coloured jumpers first...
Recycling an old character I painted on an abandoned building in Atlanta back in 2009. Thanks to the Buxton's of Ad Hoc Art and the Welling Court community for always being supportive.
7 Days of Shooting. Week #44. Typography - Macro Monday
Illustrated letter L from a small bible I own.
Thank you to everyone who takes the time to view my photos and comment or Fave.
Been working on this font for the past three or so months. Finally finished it with three different styles. The font will sell as a hand-set font and you will be able to change colors, construct new letters and many other options.
This is a new tutorial I wrote, inspired by Compassion from Ginger Monkey Design.

A college project. I designed this poster for a series of typography lectures, fictional unfortunately!
Typography project we had to do for Garth Walker at tech. We had to explore the streets of Durban for inspiration.
Created for a 1st semester Typography project. I chose the quote "Listen until their brain has been twisted like a dripping towel and what they have to say is all over the floor" - Hugh Elliot, because it is so evocative and macabre. The brief was to choose a quote and convey its meaning through the typography, without images.
