Unusual friendly encounter caught by the quick auto focus of D750 which is one thing I miss for my manual focus vintage lenses on the Fuji. I may challenge myself to use the DSLR again to see if I can still go back to shooting with Nikon.

Trying out something new is always exciting. Of course, I have to tell myself that... ;- )

First the ingenious Apt cog and rack to hold the train then see how the up cable goes one way (left), the down one the other! The outer wheels have a flange, the inner are wide to straddle the gap left for the rope!

Checking in on the surprise chicks today and they are adorable. Just two, and one of them seems not so strong in the legs. Because they are in a box pretty high up after the mother walked around and ate with them and returned to the box I had to put the babies back for her.

Two Years Late, Worth the Wait!

This picture was taken around 10 in the morning in the old part of Shanghai. I was walking around trying to take pictures when i wondered off into some alley and I found myself walking through this small alley. I walked in a little bit and took this picture. The picture involves many lines. There is a large contrast between light and dark that can be seen in this picture. The shadow makes the picture dark and the sun makes the picture bright. I like this picture because it seems like it never ends. This picture represents "Oppression" to me because it is almost as if you are getting squashed between the walls. In this picture everything is in focus except the laundry in the back. The walls are also focused in this picture. I really like this picture because it gives you the impression that the world you live in can be dangerous. It shows that if you are not careful you can be squashed by the world. I really enjoyed making this picture.

These two are without any doubt my favourite subjects in Frognerpaken. They are just so touchingly human. These two strike a deep seated chord in me. I have many shots of these two dating back to the mid eighties. I’ve tried to capture what they mean to me ,and I fall short each time They don’t age, which means I’ve got plenty of chances yet,and they are always fun to meet again.

72/365 -- Rhythm and Blues

It has always been my dream to perform in front of a crowd. So, tonight I went to a music bar near my house and auditioned for a weekly gig.

This is all make believe of course! If you know me well, you'll know that there are two things I don't do...

I don't dance and I don't sing!

Another "wasps on a white flower" photo, sorry c: Saw these two together sitting on a flower. After a while one of them has left the restaurant and the other one followed right away. It seemed as if they chose a new place while they were flying over the field side by side. And here they found a nice flower for their second course of the menu. I have never thought about friendship among wasps... :)))

This is the story of two blades, spears crafted by the hand of the Emperor Himself in the days long before the birth of the Imperium. Linked, equal but opposite, these blades are destined to be wielded by two of the greatest heroes of the Age of Darkness. And as the spears themselves, Appolonian and Dionysian, are equal and opposite, so too are those to whom they were gifted. This is their story too. The warrior-scholar, a savant and a servant. The warrior-king, a savage and a soldier. Their fates entwined in ways they do not understand, they carry the blades as both gift and curse, fulfilment of destiny unseen by any save the Master of Mankind.
