With the white side up and the unfolded flap facing LEFT, grasp the model in the center. This should cause the model to essentially pop inside out.
The first part of the tutorial is setting up the four layers.
1a. Create a new document with a black background.
1b. Add 3 new transparent layers.
1c. On second "New Layer" make a square selection, smaller than the background and fill the selection with a medium gray color.
1d. On third "New Layer#1" paste a white cutout shape, smaller than the 2nd gray layer. To make a cutout shape, go to a new document with white background. Add alpha channel. Paste a shape or object onto the white background. In layers dialog, right click this layer and "Alpha to selection".
1e. Click on the top forth layer "New Layer#2" and fill the selection with a brown color.
1f. In image click on Selection and choose None.
Your image and layers should look like the picture.

A piping tutorial to accompany our Arcadia Avenue pillows and Daily Duffle bag pattern. Read all about it here!
I have a pbase site with a lot of galleries but recently I wrote some FREE tutorials to help people learn to use Paint Shop Pro and also some techniques usable by other programs as well. These are all free and super easy, lots of photos to help explain things. Hope you have fun!
I made this simple tutorial (originally in Swedish, but I will explain as well as I can in english) because my friends asked me how I reroot my dolls. It is so much fun and not hard at all! :) This version is shorter than the original one since I am posting it on Flickr. This is Estelle, she is a Princess Barbie who came to me with a bad haircut. I use Retrodolls hair (I have actually started to sell this hair myself at retrodollseurope.com and you can buy it from my friends at the US, UK and Australia sites as well) ; it comes in lenghts of about 95 centimeters so you can give your dolls as long hair as you want! I will use Fire Red Saran for this girl but I often use other kinds of hair as well, you can also use hair from a wig or reuse hair from another doll if you want :).
