I purchased a set of bias tape makers on eBay a few years ago. The sizes are: 50, 25, 18, 12, and 6. These can make a variety of sized tape for binding seams and making trim.

Take one sock and measure maybe slightly more than halfway from the heel to the toe (closer to the toe). Cut off the toe (along the red line).
Fold the top of bag 1/4" toward the outside and press. Fold over another 1/4" to encase that raw edge and press again.
