Well I feel like I'm turning the corner in my recovery from my hip surgery and complications. Now its time to move forward and think positive. I want to thank you all again for your wonderful support through all of this. Hope you all have a fabulous day and are able to move forward with me. Hugs!

Note: Both shots were hard to get because of how the run is set up and the fence.

World Turning

Double Arch

Arches National Park

Moab, Utah

Massive Double Arch's main span is almost 150' wide and just over 100' tall. It is the second widest arch in the park, Landscape Arch is tops at 305' wide. This star trail capture had some soft moonlight to help light the arch. Exposure time about 10 minutes. Best viewed on black or just click the image:)

Sweden and the Nordic region's tallest skyscraper, The building is 190.4 meters high and is located in Malmo.

Taken during my first DC Photography Meetup.

I've posted a few shots of this location near Plains from this summer and in some ways due to logging it's a better shot now than it was when I shot this WC SORE3 roaring north in early August 1999 with 7507 and 7505 leading a cut of limestone loads and empties for Empire Mine. Given my choices though CNW C628's or WC SD45's would still be my preference for power and I'd not mind fighting the trees if they were!

Red Deer stags parallel walk for a while sizing-up each other before one decides to attack and the other defends.

Braunton on the turntable at Minehead. Why not turn 180°? It would make more sense!

Not *actually* pro, because... yeah, but this is my first crack at using LumiPro for anything more than farting about. Yes, it's yet another shot in Main Control: I know the room and how I lit the build itself, which means I can get a better idea of how the lighting & posing tools work in context. But now I've played with it some I rather like this thing!

And, of course, music! (With thanks to Zee)

Just mucking around with this tile and thought of this...Not a particularly brilliant build, it just reminded me of the scene in the movie.

I shot this at a recent wedding. I stylized the shot to emphasize the corners and simplify the composition. It feels quite lonely, which is what draws me in. It contrasts nicely with the post wedding shots in which this bride positively beams in her new husbands arms!
